Never been and thinking of trying it this Sunday.;)

Boma is probably my favorite restaurant in any of the Disney Hotels.
Its an African buffet with a wide varity of interesting and delicious choices. YUM!!!

I would make a Priority Seating before going. Every time I go there is a wait to get a table.

My 10 year old also loves Boma, making it "a must eat at", every time we go to WDW.

Hope this helps! :D

This is my family's MOST favorite restaurant, ANYWHERE!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc We are all adventurous eaters (except for DH, and even HE loves it!). There is something for everyone here. Just a side note, I don't like Curry, but I tried their chicken coconut curry soup and fell in love. The zebra domes are a must also!:sunny:

I don't know if you will like Boma, but we sure did. There is a lot of variety in the food choices - some are exotic and others familiar. We especially like the soups, salmon with bananas, prime rib, and desserts.
I second the recommendation to make sure you have Priority Seating...it is very popular. Sandie

I do not care for curry either but that soup was very good. I like all of there soups & desserts. I would eat just soup, cold salads & desserts I feel I got my moneys worth. And it was brewed Iced Tea, which was great after all the other stuff.

It completely depends....

It is a buffet - and a large and fairly crowded one. The restaurant (while not the Whispering Canyon) is not exactly subdued. You may or may not love buffets, or you may be annoyed by them. Likewise, the noise level may be up your alley, or you may prefer something quieter.

The food is plentiful - and there is plenty to try. Lots of soups, salads and grain dishes (but decent buffet salmon, flank steak, etc - and try the bobatie at the "meat" station). Some with unusual flavors. Its best if you are the type who is a little adventurous, although they do have mac n cheese and chicken fingers. The shear number of choices may be overwhelming to some.

A good selection on the dessert buffet - including the famous zebra domes (I was underwhelmed, but seem to be the exception).

We are glad we went, but won't go out of our way to return. For one thing, of all the restuarants we've been to, this one is the most out of the way (unless, of course, you are an AKL guest).

Can we walk from AK to Boma's. How far apart is AKL from Ak?

NO YOU CAN'T WALK TO BOMA'S FROM AK. YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE BUS WHICH ONLY TAKES A COUPLE OF MINUTES FROM AK.

we love Boma too!!! It is also our favorite at Disney and out of Disney! We ate their 2 years ago when we stayed at the AKL and went back this Fall when we stayed at the Dolphin. The food quality is excellent, many interesting choices and the AKL in incredible!!! Boma can get a bit noisy with all the people but it is a great meal experience.

ENJOY and have a zebra dome, the grapefruit/avocado salad and the winter squash soup for us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
