Will I have trouble getting a GAC?

I've heard there have been a lot of issues getting/using GACs lately.
Our situation is this:
4 yr old DD has Velo Cardio Facial Syndrome or Q22 Deletion as its sometimes called.
She has some serious developmental delays as a result. She also has an artificial conduit in her heart from open heart surgery at 8 days old.
She learned to walk about 8 months ago and is still not too steady. She has AFOs (leg braces) that she cannot walk without.
She tires easily and is effected by extreme temperatures.
We have rented a stroller for her as even at 25 lbs she still gets heavy to carry.
The issue is its a double stroller because we don't know how much walking her older brother will manage either.
If I request a stroller as a wheel chair card will I have a problem with the double stroller?
I don't think we'd need it too often but I'd like to have the option.
What do I tell the CMs to get one?

Tell them about the fatigue and other accommodations that she needs. Don't go into the medical diagnosis end of it. They won't know or care what it is.

As peemag mentioned, explain about her needs as to why you need to use a stroller as a wheelchair.
There is more information in post 6 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread.

The other person who reported trouble with a double stroller being tagged as a wheelchair also had an older child. People had not previously reported much problem with doubles, but most previous people posting about it had smaller children.

You might want to reconsider renting a double with an older child who might not need it. Depending on the size of your child, the 6 yr old may be on the large size to fit and a double stroller is larger to get in and out of buses. if you don't use it much, it may not be worth the added weight and size.
It's every easy to rent a stroller in the park for an older child if you do find you need it.
That way you would also not have to worry about whether there would be any question about getting a GAC with a double stroller.
