Will I get my DVC in time for 5/21 APs?

We are closing on Monday the 21st for points at SSR. Before that we had planned a trip off property with my cousins for 5/21-5/29. My problem is I want to buy APs in May with the DVC discount but it is very unlikely that I will get the cards by then as everything has moved so slowly with this resale. Is there anyway I can do this or just go with the closing papers and my DVC number which I assume I will get before the cards? Any thoughts? It will save us alot to have the DVC discount on the APs - money I can use for and

If your Membership card hasn't arrived by 5/21, you can pick up a temporary card at the SSR sales office at WDW. With the temp card you can buy your discounted AP at any Guest Relations location.

It's unlikely you will get your permanent cards by 5/21 - but you might receive temporary cards with your initial documents and you can purchase discounted AP's with the temp cards.

If they do not come before you leave, you can also stop in at the SSR sales center and they can give you temporary cards right there - you will not need an appointment to do that.

So, as long as you have closed and are in the DVC computer, you should be OK.

Very cool thanks- looks like I will go to SSR sales office with my documentation, get my temporary cards then onto guest relations at DD Disney to buy APs and DDE - Does that sound like a plan that will be successful? Please give me some feedback- you advice is sooo valuable!!

We need some help here. I thought that DTD didn't have ticket media. Can anyone confirm?

The DTD guest relations area has ticket media and that is where I prefer to get my APs or go to ask questions as they are usually not as busy as the guest service window at the parks. They are located near the ESPN store at the marketplace end. There may also be an area at the West Side but I have never used that one.

The one on the Westside is a freestading building near the PI bridge.

Plus the CMs at the DTD seem to be amoung the most knowledgeable. I always go there for things like DVC discounts etc. They are very good.

Completely agree! Another perk about staying at SSR. I always have a fistful of tickets to upgrade and the DTD guest services are always the most helpful and least rushed. I hate checking at the parks because there are always people behind you itching to get into the park.

No that brings up a question does DTD guest relations sell DDE as we really want this for the week and want to buy our APs and DDE at the same time thoughts

When I was there in March the cm said I could get it there but we decided to wait until our Sept trip as we were only there for a couple of days and this way the expiration will possibly allow us three trips using the card if all trips work out as planned.
