i am going to WDW this nov and am worried that I might not fit on some of the rides. I have already lost over 30 pounds for this trip which brings me to about 250 pounds and 5 foot 3 inches tall. I wear 2X and 3X clothes. I just thought someone here may know the answer. I do not want to be embarrassed at disney in front of my family.

I was able to ride everything at Six Flags over Texas last year but had to try different seats on some of the roller coasters to find a seat belt long enough (it was one of those over the head brace that looks like big car seat for adults) The Aerosmoth ride looked like it used the same type of belts.

Anyway, any advice would be appreciated. I know many of you can relate to my situation.

thanks!

texaggie, you should be OK for most everything. I can't remember anything I couldn't fit into at 250 (I'm just under 5'3"). Actually it was the airplane seat belts that were my 'wake up call' to start getting serious about dropping some weight. I know you can do RocknRollercoaster, for sure.

As I'm scanning my memory banks ;) the only rides I remember having trouble with were at Disney California Adventure (and one because it had a 200 lb weight limit).

My recommendation for your trip preperations is to be taking lots of long walks (if you aren't doing that already). It's the best Disney conditioning there is! ::yes::

I agree with Jackie. You'll be fine on the rides- but please for your own sake.... MAKE SURE YOU START WALKING NOW ! You will be so thankful you did!

You will be fine on all of the rides at WDW (Except maybe tomorrow land rockets, I don't ride them so I don't know). I was 6 foot 4, 350 lb, 50in waist the last time I was at WDW and was able to ride everything I wanted to ride. You didn't ask but I was also able to ride most things at Universal. Dueling Dragons and Hulk I was not able to ride(next year though just wait). So, if you are able to ride those type of ride (4 across inverted or sit down) you will be fine.

Im taller than you, but weighed alot more 2 years ago..
The only ride I was too worried to try is Goofy's Rollercoaster.. But I fit in everthing else..
My wake up call was the Seatbelts too on the plane.. Couldnt get that closed at all.. BIG Wake up CALL!!!

So for the last 2 Disney Trips Ive taken, Each trip Ive lost 40lbs.. Last year, and now in 3 weeks, Another 40lbs off..

You should be fine..

When I was 328 and 5'3" tall, I fit on almost everything except the smaller kiddie rides (no Dumbo) and I didn't dare get on Space Mountain for fear of being wedged in.

I also didn't fit on the make your own rollercoaster on Disney Quest and my poor son had to go on by himself.

I'm your same size and fit OK on everything I tried. Granted it was mostly kiddie rides as I was riding with my 3 yr old, but I would think those would be smaller than the major rides. I was also worried that I wouldn't fit on something and would embarrass myself and my family. Don't worry and have fun!!

Welcome to WISH, txaggie94gigem. I'm about your height and have weighed as much as you do now. I had no problem with the rides themselves but the turnstiles gave me a few nervous moments. I had to turn sideways to get through. Other than that, I had no trouble.

I hope you will visit us often, WISH is a wonderfully inspirational and helpful place.
