Okay . . .
Had to change my April ressie from a less popular one to one of the most busy ones - Premier Season (April 9-14). I had to change due to a career move. Was able to get the ressie but the flight is a different story. I can't seem to find airfare (nonstop) for much less than $369. I checked with Southwest and Airtran (usually lower in price) along with the others. I need to fly out of PHL or EWR. I've never traveled this time of year, so I don't know if there is any hope of the fares changing. Here is my question:
Do I keep the ressie and just hope the fares will go down as it gets closer to the date?
or
Do I "face the music" that it's just too late to get reasonable airfare (I don't know if this is true or not), cancel the ressie, and bank the points and/or make a new ressie for August?
BTW, "reasonable airfare" in my mind is $250 or so or less per person since I will be traveling with 4 others!
Oh, please help my DIS friends. Brutal honesty in this case (not always, thank you very much) is greatly appreciated!
