Will guests get discounts at Swan/Dolphin?

I have a reservation for my parents to stay at BC in August using my points. They are beginning to plan their ADRs and I had recommended Fresh at the Dolphin and Garden Grove at the Swan, 2 favorites of mine. I am eligible for a 20% discount at both places as a DVC member. Will my parents be eligible for the same discount or does it not apply to guests? I recall showing my membership card a couple of months back but I cannot recall if I was asked for it or if I just took it out and showed it. Ok, I'm guessing they cannot get the discount as I will not be staying with them but I might be wrong and would hate for them to miss out on a discount they might be able to get. Thank you for any information on this.

Since Fresh is a non-Disney operated restaurant, their rules may vary for the DVC discount. In many cases the room card stating DVC member is enough, but increasingly we are being asked for our actual blue membership cards. As to whether or not they are "entitiled" to the discount, probably not. If they still wish to dine there, by all means, they should. And it never hurts to ask your server if they can get the discount (they may)...but be prepared to hear "No."
