I was literally just at FW yesterday over to today (long story short, was supposed to be there Friday through today, but work called
). This was a new tent to me, I went purposefully solo, for many reasons, but anyway,
the tent is one of those all-together ones that pop-up pretty much on it's own, and is touted as being easier to do with two than one, but can be done with one. So, here I am, in the heat, 51 years old, Pooh-sized, trying to figure this new tent out, and I must've looked like I was having trouble, because a young girl, probably in her early teens, started walking over asking from the site next to me, and asked if I needed help; her own family was still setting up, although they were a lot further along than I was!
I thanked her, but told her I needed to be able to do it by myself; she may have thought I was looney, but it was very sweet to offer, even if her parents probably sent her over. Point being -for the most part- campers are a friendly, mostly helpful bunch, and I think (perhaps after chuckling a bit) you would get help from your neighbors. Having said that, you'd still want a contingency, in case they're all at the parks!
