We're trying to decide if we should try the dinner package for this date so we
won't have to arrive super early and wait in line. If it's not an especially busy time
of year for this show then maybe the package isn't as necessary.Would welcome any
opinions on this. Also, has anyone tried the Mama Melrose package? How was it and what was included? Thanks again!

It's tough to predict how Fantasmic is going to be on any given nihgt. I've gone to the theatre an hour early in November to find standing room only left. I've gotten the dinner package twice, and both times the theatre was less than filled (once it was raining, and the second time it was in early December).

I usually prefer to spend the money on the dinner package. You know you'll have a seat, and you sit and eat in an air conditioned restaurant instead of sitting on a bench with no back for an hour (not very comfortable for me).

I've gone to Mama Melrose's a couple of times, and I like the food there. They give your table a mixed geen salad, and a flatbread pizza of your choice to share. Then you pick your entree. They say you get tiramisu, but our waitress let us pick whatever we want. We were stuffed by the time we were through that night.

Either way, have a great trip!

Good morning Karen! A quick question for you. At Mama Melroses can my dd get a bowl of plain pasta with butter and parmesan cheese? We are thinking of doing the dinner package due to the heavier crowds. But dd is somewhat of a picky eater. I was just talking to my dh last night about this whole waiting an hour or so for Fantasmic and he didn't seem to thrilled with the concept! So maybe we'll change our eating plans. How is the seating over there on the side? We saw right in the center the first time we saw it. Also only three rows from the front!! Got a little wet! Won't make that mistake again. Thanks for any insights.

Hi Diane,

Yes, your daughter will be able to get pasta with butter and parmesan cheese. That's exactly what my cousin's son had at Mama Melrose's when we went there in December.

If your daughter is that picky, you may want to consider Hollywood & Vine. I went there in December, and thought the food was quite good for a buffet, and the selection was great. We are doing our Fantasmic package there this year.

I don't mind the seating on the side. They used to set the last section aside, but now, the second to last section is the dinner package session. The only thing that is a little off is when the boats with the princesses go by you. No big deal for me.

I have heard that even if you do the dinner pkg, you still have to get in line an hour ahead of time 'cause the seats aren't reserved. Is this true ? If we choose not to do the pkg how soon should we get in line ? What time does the snack bar open ?

Another Fantasmic ? We are planning to go to Fantasmic next Tues and I see where MGM closes at 10:00 that night . What time will Fantasmic be ? Thanks !
