Will every table service serve vegetarian?

I know some of the menus include vegetarian entrees, but many don't list a vegetarian entree and I'm assuming that's partially due to incomplete menus. I'm assuming the menus are a sampling.

If there isn't vegetarian can you make a special request for a vegetarian entree and will they do one?

Which menus are you referring to? I've never seen any menu online that's been a "sampling." The menu is the menu. However, Disney is great at working with all dietary needs, and if you let them know in advance I'm sure they'll be able to accommodate.

The menus are complete... but if there's not a veg entree (and I can only think of maybe two places like that) they'll gladly accommodate.

1) TS eateries can always make up something vegetarian, as the chef comes out to talk to you. *
2) Most QS have a veggie item, such as a veggie burger, but no chef to make something special or unique.

* The best option in many opinions is Trails End, due to "Chef TJ" who works miracles with allergies and vegetarian dishes. He has a true following.

I have vegetarian and lots of vegan friends who find WDW a bastion of easy eating. You'll be fine. WS is especially easy for TS and QS.

I mean, Dole Whips are vegan, and delicious!

Where are you looking? I check here (wdwinfo.com) and allears.net.

Please be careful with that. Dole Whip has changed their ingredient lists *several* times in the last 10 years (at least). For a good long while they had casein in it, and really that only changed maybe 4 years ago. They don't announce changes. Here's the page where they have ingredients today. http://dolesoftserve.com/prod-info.cfm#nutrition Also here: http://www.precisionfoods.com/foods...rve-Mix-Naturally-and-Artificially-Flavored-2

It's worth keeping an eye on.

Thanks. I was hoping they would accommodate, if needed.

Wouldn't have any considered that they'd change ingredients on a successful product. Thanks for the heads up.

Yep. They used to have ingredients that we learned (thanks to the dole whip itself) my family couldn't have (corn syrup solids). They also used to have no pineapple in them lol. Just flavoring. And the casein. We aren't vegan but I've found that I can be actually allergic to casein (massive sneezing attacks), so I don't love that in a product.

But I kept checking back! And kept finding changes. I hope they keep this recipe.

Dole whips are currently better tasting than they used to be, too. First time I had one, in 2007, I described it as tasting like pineapple flavored melted plastic. It is better than that now. :)

(DH and DS liked theirs back in 2007 but within 10 minutes the c.s.s. ingredient had DH passed out on a park bench while DS was playing Tasmanian devil running in blind circles outside Adventureland at Disneyland. That year we found out that anything based on corn syrup jacks up their blood sugar tremendously then it shoots back down. DH passes out. DS used to get violent when it was high. Fun times!)

Anyway OP disney chefs ar vegetarian friendly. No worries. :)

Glad your guys are better!

The Liberty Tree Taverns vegetarian option (some veggie sandwich) was horrendous. It was disgusting. My Daughter tried to eat it but couldn't. I took a taste, spit it out and promptly asked for the manager - it was that nasty.

I explained that she couldn't eat it and would like it removed from our bill. Which he did. She ended up buying a Mickey Pretzel and some popcorn after we left - not exactly a good lunch choice.

Can you describe the sandwich? Was there something in particular that made it so bad? We were thinking about going there next trip, but if this is the only vegetarian option we might look for a replacement.

The vegetables were soaked in Balsmic Vinegar. A little goes a long way with that.

They also had pasta with chicken so I guess if you like that, you could ask for no chicken - my daughter doesn't like what they mixed with the pasta - she hates artichokes and mushrooms. And I just looked at the menu and the simple declaration salad is now part of the all you can eat instead of ala carte.

Ugh - not a fan of the changes in the menu.

In Dec at LTT I had the Colony Salad without the salmon. Plus the OGTC for dessert.

I've been to WDW 27 times over my 32 years and Liberty tree tavern was the only bad vegetarian experience I ever had there. The sandwich was just REALLY dry. It was two pieces of bread with not well cooked vegetables between them. I'm not a picky eater at all and I struggled eating it ( I'm a wimp when it comes to sending food back...). So it's the one restaurant I'd stay away from as a vegetarian. However, maybe you could ask for a pasta dish to be made especially for you, if you have your heart set on dining there, because it really is a cute place.
