Will DVC move us to new resort

Have been DVC member since 93 and have never transfered to another resort during our stay. My question is will DVC move us from Contemp. to OKW during our stay. We are stay on our pts. Had to Make changes to our stay because of airlines issues.

Do you mean transfer your luggage? Bell services will transfer your luggage for you.

Disney will move your bags for you. Call 'Bell Services' and let them know that you are changing resorts and you need them to pick up your bags. They will instruct you to leave them in your room. They will come by and pick up your luggage.

You don't even need to stay. They may not come immediately. We've done this several times.

The luggage transfer won't be immediate. They'll pick up in the morning from your first resort. Then they'll hold it until a luggage transfer truck comes by in the afternoon.

When you get into the room at your second resort, call Bell Services to deliver your bags.

A tip is customary for Bell Services at both ends. (This in not like Magical Express, which delivers the bags to your room even if you're not there.)

I had the same question about luggage transfer so I'm glad you posted. For those of you that have switched resorts during your stay can you please comment on how your luck has been for an "early check-in" at the second resort? Thanks!

good and bad - one time the room was ready. another time it wasn't even ready at 4:00pm.

this Sept - not expecting the rooms to be ready - since both resorts are sold out before my arrival.

we did it 3 times on or stay and on each time we waited till close to 4 for our room it was kinda a pain in the butt and i dont think we will do it again maybe other people were lucky with the change but we had to wait, bell services were great they put all our frozen food in the coolers till we got our room.

On our last trip, our first time changing resorts, we went to Bell Services, and one of the CMs was dropping some other families luggage off at the resort we were moving to, and offered to drive us and our luggage there. Our room was not ready that early in the morning, so we left it with Bell Services while we waited for other family to arrive.

Last time we did a transfer DS 2 at the time was really sick 103 fever and just in bad shape. We were able to get a late check out at the Poly and an early check in at the Contemp (they coordinated it for us so we didn't have to leave the Poly until the room was ready at the Contemp) I'll definately never forget how accomodating they were and so helpful. Other than that we've switched from Contemp to Yacht club and that went very smoothly as well. We just called bell services they picked up the luggage and we went on with our day then when we were ready to go to the room around 2 p.m. we went to the yacht club and the room was ready and we had our luggage 10 minutes later.
