My memories of DL (pre pandemic) are of fireworks seven days a week.
Anyone know anything about this happening again?

Have they announced when this would be?

60 yrs of Disney Parks! That's so awesome! I'm about 50 years. Remember how easy and relaxing it was? It's just so sad.

Here's the official Disney wording: Disneyland Forever may not occur daily and showtimes are subject to change. From April 22 to late spring, Disneyland Forever will perform Fridays to Sundays, and the Mickey's Mix Magic projections-only show is scheduled Mondays to Thursdays. Disneyland Forever fireworks will then run nightly in the summer.

I heard the fireworks last night - pretty sure it was DL. Timing and distance was right anyway (I live 20 miles away).

Yay! Will that be permanent? We're going to be there in October but only on week days so that would be so great!

In the before times fireworks were only on week days during the summer season. Thats how it has been for years. Disneyland has now gone back to this schedule. Going on a week day in October its unlikely there will be fireworks.

Its to to with Anaheim City regulations.

Disney is limited by the City of Anaheim on when they can be shown.

They had to get special permission from the city of Anaheim to run the FWs on weekdays during the off season for the 60th. It seems that DL's residential neighbors are not to fond of the nightly sky high entertainment. (from someone I met who lives there.)

I checked out the Disneyland site for Halloween time information, and looks like the nighttime show will be Halloween Screams, which runs with and without fireworks. The fireworks will likely only be on weekends (Fri-Sun) and Halloween itself, but the projection/light show portion will run nightly.

Daily fireworks used to be a thing only in peak/busy times. I've been in April/May and Sept/Oct and from what I remember fireworks were only on the weekends but evening entertainment like F! and WOC were nightly albeit maybe only 1 show. You can take a look at the 'historical hours and entertainment' thread on this forum: https://www.disboards.com/threads/historical-dlr-park-hours-entertainment-and-refurbs.2291124/

Of course this is all in the 'before times' lol.

For before times, it depends on how many years ago you're talking about. Fantasmic was not running nightly just before the pandemic but I'm pretty sure it was nightly until shortly after they introduced fastpasses for the show.

Fireworks usually run nightly in the week of Christmas up till New Years.

Past history -

Fireworks ran weekends only (Fri-Sun) during off peak (aka school) periods for as long as I can remember.

During the 50th, they paid the big fines to be allowed to show it nightly. From Thanksgiving thru the first full weekend after New Years, the Christmas fireworks run. And summer fireworks ran June - Labor day weekend. Fireworks also run during spring break.

Fantasmic! runs on the same pattern as fireworks.

And remember even when they are scheduled to run nightly, they can be canceled for wind/weather related issues. Always recommend to give yourself as many opportunities to see them as possible if that is a priority!

October is usually a miss for fireworks on weekdays. Always has been. As a WDW vet from yonder year, I'm always frustrated by that. Especially the fact that they won't do F! on weekdays, even though the pyrotechnics are low trajectory. I feel like it's an avoided expense masked behind the idea of being in a city.
