Hi,

Disney are offering free dining at the moment for next year, but we are still not entirely sure if we can afford to go next year, but I do not want to miss out on a great opportunity. However, I also do not want to waste a deposit either. Normally they have offered this in August, Sept time, I do not remember it being this early. Anyone know if they normally offer it twice a year?

We are planning bc or por in December, leaving in the 28th Nov to get in the dates for free dining,

Thanks everyone!!!!

it's anyone's guess, but if Disney UK follows previous years patterns, FD *might* be extended past the July mark, but phased out with $100 gift card instead of $200 then with no gift card at all.

FD might still be available in september. But rooms are in limited supply with the deal.
There is no guarantee that you'll get your resort of choice, or the room category if the deal goes on until september.

Now, you can minimize the impact of a cancellation by booking with cashback through quidco. Your cashback will most probably be paid before you have to pay off your balance, so you'll lose a very small amount.

For example, I've booked through quidco on the day the deal was released. £150 deposit for 3 and I was just paid £113 in cashback. (very fast payment, even though I know some people who booked at the same time are still "tracked" and have not been paid)

so if I were to cancel, I'd only lose £37. not bad for securing the deal with all its benefits.

That's quite a cashback:banana:

We couldn't book via a cash back site as had to call to book an accessible room:confused3

No good to you now, but maybe for next time, can you not just book via cashback site and then call to have the accessible room request added? I'm almost certain it is one of the options for online check in, though not being something we need, I've never paid much attention. Maybe someone could fill in the blanks in my info.

You can book an accessible room online with WDTC online there is a box to tick on the form :thumbsup2

I did the tick-however none were showing for okw-so could only book on the phone.:)

I shall definitely in future book online first-if no accessible rooms show initially-and then ring to advise accessible room required as suggested.:goodvibes

Hi, if it helps Disney have recently changed their rules and you can now carry a deposit over into the following year if you need to cancel minus a small cancellation fee.

We have just had to cancel our Aug 14 trip as my husband has had a medical problem and we have chosen to cancel so we can plan another holiday closer to home rather than wait to be told medically that he can't travel. The nice lady on the phone told me that if you book for the following year before you cancel your current year (so you have two booking references) they will transfer the deposit. I now have my confirmation with £100 transferred onto our new booking (so we just lost £50).

Could this be an option for you?? :wave2:

Sorry to hear your husbands poorly.
That definitely eases the pain of not going though.

Our very first trip, we had to postpone as I needed surgery and was rather poorly afterwards-so there was no way we could've gone.
We lost quite a bit of money-but at least we had longer to save up.:)
