Now THAT would be a dream come true!
:) :) :)

I remember a thread about this last year, so I KNOW I'm not alone!

I heartily second that wish! That would be awesome! I'd book without hesitation.

My guess would be (unfortunately) that they wouldn't ... they can get to destinations out of Port Canaveral that they can reach from Galveston, and by cruising out of Port C they can tie into WDW which they couldn't do out of Galveston. :(

I agree, Galveston would be super cool (and VERY convenient for us:teeth: ) but I don't think it would happen.

Of course, the Magic was just in Galveston!!! Oh well, they only let people off there, no one got on.
Should would be a lot close for us West Coasters...we have considered some of the RCCL cruises out of Galveston.

If they ever did...my DH and I would be calling in "sick" on quite a few Thursdays and Fridays and miraculously recovering after 3 or four nights at sea. We're in Houston.

We were on the 8/28 Magic when it visited Galveston. While it was nice to walk around for a couple of hours, I just can't imagine DCL would ever stop there.

As ivanova said, Galveston is really far from everything else DCL does. It was over 1,000 nautical miles to Galveston from Costa Maya, Mexico and another 1,100 nautical miles from Galveston to Port Canaveral. Each of those trips took over 40 hours of cruising at ABOVE the Magic's normal cruising speed of 21 knots.
