We are heading to Florida soon and our first night in Orlando is Dec 6th and I thought of going to Epcot in the afternoon but head over to MK at 6 pm since it's going to be open till 11pm. We just want to ride a couple of rides and see the fireworks...Spectro is not a must.

Any idea why is it open till 11?

Are they planning something BIG?

Is that the day of the filming of the X-mas parade?

If so, will we be ok if we stick to Fantasyland and Toontown and a bit of Tommorowland?

Any ideas, thoughts etc.....Has anyone been there when they filmed the parade? Maybe that could be fun?

Thanks:confused:

WDW extends their hours on the weekends especially during the month of Dec because so many locals and Fla residents love to visit just to enjoy the holiday festivities. Also on many nights MK is open because of the special event MVMCP, so make sure to check those dates. I have heard from many disboard members that the weekend of the 6th is very busy with resort reservations. But that is because the MVMCP starts that week as well. Overall I dont think it will be too busy and just the regular festivities are going on.

Great...We have 2 mvmcp's planned so that is going to be fun on the 9th and 16th. But I wanted to be in MK at night on a regular night so this is it!

Thanks for the info.
