Will DCA be busy the morning of OBB?

Hi, can anyone remember how the crowds were at DCA the day of Oogie Boogie Bash Halloween Party? I’m making park reservations and don’t know if we should start at DL or go for the EMH (if it’s back) at DCA. We will be getting OBB tickets for that night.

From my experience last year, rope drop may be a bit lighter but by mid-morning, the crowds will be higher than on non-OBB days. Mix in period was packted. I'd expect an additional 30+ minutes wait for big rides like Guardians in the afternoon.

So if we are park hopping, would you recommend DCA in the morning, DL for the afternoon and going back to DCA shortly before OBB officially starts? To avoid the packed mix-in period? Is there any benefit to being in DCA before the event officially starts?

Thanks,
Jason

No real advantage. We had an early dinner at lamplight this past year to get out of the crowds before the party started.

Just a heads up they haven’t announced dates for OBB yet
Yes I realise this but as it’s time to select park reservation, I’m preempting the party days from previous years. There’s no choice at this stage, until Disney finally tell us. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼
