Will Christmas Lights be

I'm going to WDW Dec 4-10. Will Main Street and all other attractions be decorated and lit for the Holidays
How about the castle?

Yes all the Christmas decorations will be up. They start going up before Thanksgiving and are all up for Thanksgiving.

Most everything will be up by then. They start decorating the resorts in November, and the parks usually start after Thanksgiving and are pretty much finished within a week.
Enjoy it, it really is beautiful.

Thanks for the info...Are the lights going to be lit? Or is there a official lighting ceremony

We always check in the Sunday after Thanksgiving and all the decorations everywhere have always been up by then.

The castle isn't really Christmas decorated, none of the theme park icons are but the streets are and such. This year the castle is decorated differently anyway due to the 50 year celebration.

The Castle usually has some garland on it, no idea what they'll do this year though.
The only park to do an "Official Tree Lighting Ceremony" is Epcot. They do it nightly, around 6 I believe. Then they light the huge arches. It really is a great experience.

Actually, I believe all parks have a tree lighting ceremony, it's just only Epcot lists it as something to see, because it goes with their canopy of lights too. When we were there this past Dec. we caught MKs tree lighting by accident. Mickey and Minnie and a bunch of carolers were doing a show at the train station, then Mickey motions and the tree lights up. I would guess the other parks have something little as well.

The parks had some of their decorations up even before Thanksgiving when we were there and the MGM motor car parade had Christmas decorations on the cars.

We'll be at WDW at same time looking forward to holidays at WDW.Everything will be decorated to the 9's for Christmas.
