Will Christmas decorations be up on Nov. 2nd?

Do the resorts do any switch over that night as well? I am leaving there 11/2 and won't have time to visit any parks that day.

Typically the resorts come later in November.

Not usually. Resorts get their decorations more slowly.

Most of the decorations come down before the marathon, but they usually leave the castle lights on until after the marathon.

Also wondering about timing of resort decorations. We arrive the 6th and were hoping to resort hop to see some of the decorations. But what I've seen makes it sound like resorts decorate later?

The resorts are more gradual. MK needs to do the changeover so they are ready for the parties (first one is Nov 8th I think), but the resorts will be fit in around the theme parks. Basically over the span of the time between the first MVMCP and the first Candlelight (or whatever the first scheduled event is at Epcot) they will flip everything over. They need to be quieter at the resorts, and usually have to maneuver things like the parts of the trees at AKL/WL/GF around the various parts of the hotels, so may need to work slower/more carefully.

That's what I figured based on what I've read. Our trip happens to fall over the first MVMCP of the season so we just feel lucky to get tot take in some of the Christmas magic.
