Really want to spend Thanksgiving in Disney this year with our kids and grandkids.
Will everything be up and running (if allowed) by the week of Thanksgiving this year?
Is it too soon?
Most importantly, The Christmas Processional? I would even be happy with a modified version.

There's always hope but I think the Candlelight Processional (which didn't start until Nov. 29th in 2019) will probably not occur during a Thanksgiving visit. However, Christmas decorations should be up and there will be plenty of holiday merchandise and special treats. And since a modified Halloween party has been announced, the chances of some sort of hard ticket Holiday celebration is likely. I would also expect some fireworks and evening shows to return for the 50th Anniversary on October 1.

In past years the Candelight Processional has started right after halloween. Same for the Holiday decorations. I'd guess that the decorations will all be up by the time of your Thanksgiving (actually, weeks before) visit. I'm not sure that the Candelight Processional will be held this year though.

Epcot starts Christmas on the later side but I do know in 2019 Festival of the Holidays was going on during Thanksgiving Week (idk if candlelight had begun yet though)
The other three parks should be all decorated and ready to go November 1st (some even earlier)

Candlelight Professional usually begins on Black Friday I think once it was on Thanksgiving. The storytellers sometimes began the Sun before Thanksgiving and other times on Black Friday. The MVMCP usually started the beginning of November on select nights. Who knows if they are having any of that this year. The resorts are on a lottery so sometimes not all done until later in the week of Thanksgiving.

Candlelight Processional is outdoors. Fingers crossed that can proceed this year.
If eat to the beat happens I’d be cautiously optimistic for candlelight coming back (probably still in a modified capacity with fewer choirs involved/only performing certain nights...)

I think it will definitely be crowded and more and more will open

Hard to tell.
In previous years, after Thanksgiving, the Christmas decorations went up.
This year, like last year, who knows.

There are some confusing posts in this thread.
(Last year was hard on "memories," I guess.) ;)

More accurate info:
In previous years, after Thanksgiving Halloween, the Christmas decorations went up.
(First at MK, then over the next couple of weeks, the rest of WDW.)
Then, after Thanksgiving, virtually all of the Christmas decor, events, musical shows (CP included)
were happening.

But, for sure, this year, like last year, who knows?

If you don't already have a resort reservation for that week it is slim pickins and by that I mean only AOA available that week. I only know this because we have are at CBR that week and I want to add a couple nights if I can. Had to do POP for now but I keep checking CBR. Some dates I put in I see AOA and FWC but that's it. This could obviously change and I hope it does. I'm crossing my fingers for POFQ:)

I saw that. I can't commit just yet until my son gets his work schedule, he'a a rookie and so his schedule isn't set. He should know something by July. It may end up being first week of December, it's all of us or move it to December.
