The only ressie I could get at CM's for our upcoming trip was at 8:50 pm. Do you think it'll be totally picked over by that time of the night? Reading some of the current threads on this restaurant have me a little nervous!

It should be fine or better. We had an 11:20 ADR for breakfast last year; bfast ends at 11:30. The buffet was full and hot and we took our time eating and having fun. We ate well, had fantastic character interaction and just fun, fun, fun at Chef Mickey's! Go and plan to simply enjoy it. Besides you're at WDW CM's has an extensive sundae bar you can have dessert for dinner if you want at Disney!

is it crowded at this time? were you able to get lunch too?

It didn't feel crowded and Chef Mickey's doesn't serve lunch. We were seated in the smaller dining area to the right. Not every table was filled, but we were up against the back wall and I think all those tables were full. Plenty of character interaction.

They are offering lunch for a short time during Free Dining to help people make ADRs, but CM's is a std Breakfast/Dinner restaurant and was that way the day we were there, sorry I can't speak to lunch.

I will say this, in round numbers I ate at noon. I did not eat again until after Spectromagic, close to 10pm and even then it was a shared sandwich and cake. Hope that gives you some indication of how much I was able to put away at Chef Mickey's...lol

We have eaten dinner late at Chef Mickey's several times. Food was still plentiful and hot. And it wasn't as crowded, the characters spent lots of time with us and it was wonderful experience. Which is why we keep booking those late ADR's! We also prefer late breakfast ADR's as well, and have never had a picked over or cold buffet at any of them either.

Have a fun trip!

We were actually in the same boat as you this past trip in June! The only time we could get in was 8:50 p.m. as well. Not to worry though! The food was still wonderful and there was plenty of it! Mickey and all his friends were still full of energy as well! We actually liked going at that time instead of earlier because the restaurant was less crowded.

It's an excellent ADR time, IMO. No worries about the food, they will keep putting it out until past closing. :thumbsup2

Chef M's does not serve Lunch!:scared1: Chef M's Is open for lunch sometimes:) , it is not open daily, but I in fact have a ressie for Sept 4th and 5th for lunch :scared: ,it is open to help with the overflow.Just for those that do not know Chef M's is open and serves Lunch not daily but sometimes, it in fact does serve Lunch and you can call the WDW dinning line they will be able to tell you that it is open this year for certain dates.I think those dates are in August and September,I am sure that someone on this board can to agree that Lunch is sometimes served at Chef M's.

I am in the same boat...we could only get a 7:55 ADR for CMs and I was kind of bummed at first. This has made me feel better... and we decided that we would go to MK after (Arrive around 9:30 or so and stay until 0300 for EMHs)

Tammysue: That is exactly what my husband and I have done several times. Eat a late dinner at Chef Mickey's or O'Hana then head to the MK for EMH. It makes for a great evening!

We had an 8:50 pm ressie at Chef Mickey's last November and we were very disappointed. The food was not only picked over, but what was there looked like it had been there a while.

The desserts looked good though.
