Will Cast Members Wear Star Wars Pins during Star Wars Weekend?

I have several Disney Pins but not too many Star Wars Pins. Will Cast Members wear Star Wars Pins during the Star Wars weekend? Can you trade a regular Disney Pin for a Star Wars pin. I'm a big fan of Star Wars and have never done pin trading as this is my first Disney trip in 29 years. Thanks for the help in advance.

I have been to 3 Star Wars weekends (3 different years) and have not seen any Star Wars Pins on CM’s lanyards, only in the shops.

It is not very likely.

First of all, a Cast lanyard will only have 12 pins. If they went onstage wearing SW pins they would be gone within five minutes and exchanged for junk. Disney wants to sell the pins, not give them away.

And usually unsold limited edition pins are held for a couple of years before they will go out on lanyards.

I did trade for a Star Wars mystery pin of Stitch as Darth Sidious at Epcot the day after the first Star Wars Weekend this year.

Yes they do.. I found 2 hard to find Star Wars pins this way.. and it was in the evening time..

I just got back, and I saw several CMs wearing Star Wars pins. DBF got one this way. (Though, he did switch a SWW pin for another SWW pin.)

We were there on the last day of the last SWW. I don't remember seeing at SW pins on CMs lanyards however DH was able to buy the VERY last SWW pin for 2009. They were out of them and he found it behind a cash register. He was SO happy. Also we enjoyed buying a few boxes of the SW mystery pins. It was $12 for 2 pins so actually it was a good deal. I don't know if they sell those SW mystery boxes all year or just during the weekends.
