Will Call Question

I just purchased a preferred annual pass on-line (1st time I purchased an annual on-line) and chose to pick up at a will call kiosk. My question is, once I go to the kiosk and enter the confirmation number with my credit card info does the kiosk give me an actual pass I would use to get into the park or do I need to go to Guest Services to get a picture Annual Pass? Everyone else in our party already has their annual passes with pictures. Just trying to see if I have to alot more time for another stop at guest services so we can be at park opening for early entry for resort guests. :thumbsup2

I don't think they do pictures on the annual passes anymore.

I have a preferred annual pass that I purchased online and had sent to my house. It's just a paper ticket.

When I went to activate my tickets at the kiosk last time I was there, NONE of them worked. Not a single one. I had to flag down some lady hawking ticket holders to get my ticket validated.

Thanks for starting this thread Harryo because I was about to ask a similar question.

When we were there in 2005, I recall the process taking longer than I expected, having to exchange the vouchers from the kiosk and take a picture and all. So we had planned to ride over the evening before our on-site/park tour days to retrieve & activate our AP's & multi-day tickets so we can already have them in hand & make early entry if we're allowed to. But my questions are:

1. How late in the evening is "will call" open to activate the AP's & take our photo (or does someone know where I could call to ask)?

2. Can our multi-day tixs be changed over at the same window?

And Lou Holtz:

You mean none of the kiosks worked :scared1: ?

They don't do pictures for the Preferred Annual Pass anymore. Most of the APs do not have to be exchanged at Guest Services. Guest Services window is usually open about 15 minutes or so after park closing.

sorry to t/j....

Are there any will call kiosks at citywalk? I plan on picking up my park tickets and express passes the evening before and wondered if we needed to walk on over to US or IOA to get them or if we could simply get them at Citywalk.

TIA!!!

Never saw a kiosks on the Citywalk side of the bridge, you will need to walk over and use the ones outside the park.

There are no kiosks at Citywalk. Also, be aware that the kiosks at Universal and Islands both shut down a few minutes before park closing each night.

Really? That changed then from a couple of years ago. We took my DH's mom with us and picked up her tickets when we were at CityWalk that night from the Kiosk outside IOA and it was closed.

Another option then might be to walk over to one of the onsite hotels, I know RPH had a kiosk at the concerige desk so you could print off your tickets.

Ahh, there's an idea we're staying at Hardrock do they have a kiosk there as well? Thanks to all who have replied to this thread you've all been very helpful!!

There aren't any kiosk in Citywalk itself. There is a guest service window at Citywalk and technically they can print tickets but usually don't do "kiosk tickets" unless a supervisor is there who knows how to do it. The hotels do not have tickets kiosks and can't print them either. Sometimes the kiosks at the parks are open until 30 minutes after park closing and so is Guest Services at either park.

I have used the ticket kisoks at the RPR last year to print of 10 tickets for both my brothers and then left them with the front desks. If they have removed them since last June that stinks since now you have to walk.

There are not any kiosk at Citywalk :) but there are some down by the gates that I have personally used after hours to pick up tickets for other family members.

Just for grins and giggles I called RPR to make sure they still had it and the lady at the concerige desk said yes they do. It is right next to their desk and it is open 24 hours a day to print off tickets using your receipt and credit card that you received when purchasing online.

:cool1: Oh how.cool.is.THAT!!! I don't have to use my evening before check-in to get our tickets. And, it makes so much sense that they have them at the hotel.

Thanks so much for that extra effort MJohnson. I actually had my hand on my phone, ready to call, when I scrolled and read your post.

Thanks for the info on the hotels. I thought all they had was the print-at-home option at the hotels---didn't know they did regular tickets. That is definitely good to know. Thanks for calling and confirming that.

The reason the kiosks close 30 minutes after park closing at the kiosks in front of the parks is so there can be a Guest Service coordinator to assist you if there is a problem like: out of ticket stock (paper), jammed ticket or other error. GS can actually look up the ticket order online and reprocess the tickets. Most other departments can't do that.

Makes sense to me, I don't think drinking and ticket printing should go hand and hand :rotfl2: prob a good idea not to put a kiosk anywhere near the bars!

Are you sure it says will call kiosk? It probably says annual pass will call because annual passes are not able to be picked up at the electronic will call kiosks anymore. You have to go to a ticket window or guest services.

O.K. Something that should be so simple seems to be getting a bit convoluted at this point.

I just called for myself (the Concierge Desk was closed for the night-9:43 p.m.) and asked the operator if there was a Will Call Kiosk at the Concierge Desk for tickets (my exact words to her). Her response to me was:

"Yes. It's open from 8 am to..." (and I didn't hear her say the closing time because I was realizing she must have misunderstood my question because a kiosk machine shouldn't have an opening & closing time...well, they do in front of the parks but I just had a feeling she wasn't taking in my question correctly). I questioned her further and explained that I have already purchased my tickets and wanted to know if there was a machine at the Concierge Desk, like the ones in front of the parks, where I could retrieve my already purchased tickets from (my exact wording to her). That's when she said "Oh, no. We don't have a kiosk machine :rolleyes2 we have a ticket center. You do have to go to the front of the parks to get pre-purchased tickets". :rolleyes2 They really need to slow down, listen & maybe ask clarifying questions more. I thought I asked that question quite clear...unless they also have a "machine" that spits out tickets on demand once you pay at it.

So, sorry folks. There's no Will Call Kiosk machines (for pre-paid ticket pick-up) at the Concierge Desk, but they DO have a Ticket Center where you can purchase tickets on the spot. I believe that is the difference.

Now...for my other (apparent) problem... My receipt SPECIFICALLY says:

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR TICKETS

To pick up your tickets, follow the signs to the Will Call Kiosks, which are only located at the front gate of either Universal Studios Florida or Islands of Adventure theme parks. At the machines you will need the credit card used for this purchase and your confirmation number. Please be sure to bring them with you! {It's bold just like that on my receipt.}

But, according to the previous poster, Annual Passes aren't "picked up at the electronic will call kiosks anymore" . So that means, I have to stand in 2 different lines to get all my tickets that are on the same receipt? This is ridiculous if it's true, and I am NOT going to be happy.

I think it's a excellent idea to have a Will Call Kiosk machine at each hotel. Makes more sense to me than standing in 2 different lines. :confused3

Edited to add: Anyone have a phone number for Guest Services at the parks? Thanks!

You can pick up all of your tickets at Guest Service will call, not just the AP. The phone number for GS is 407 224-4233 (and choose option 2).

Thanks for clarifying about the kiosks or lack there of at the hotels. I was almost positive they didn't have any but things to change occasionally so I thought I had missed that one.
