I am going back to work! Got a FT job in the financial services industry and I start tomorrow. Have to take some classes and then an exam to get the first of two state licenses that I need.

I'm excited to be working again - it's been 2 1/2 years since I accepted an early retirement offer from the telephone company. It's time and I'm very happy NOT to be working in the telcommunications industry anymore!

Am a little worried about getting in my daily exercise and also about staying on my food plan. Plan to check in here in the evenings as often as I can.

Thanks for all the support - even though I may not be posting as often, I'll definitely be thinking about all of you!

Congrats on the new job & good luck. As far as the dieting & exercise, just try to plan it out as best you can.

Congratulations on your new job!!!

I work full time so I understand your concerns about the exercise and eating right. It was hard at first to make myself exercise when I got home from work (there is no way I'd do it before work, way too early! ) and make good meals for myself for lunch and then for dinner but I have made myself do it and so far so good.

It might take a little while to get into the groove but you can do it and we're all here to help you any way we can! :)

That's wonderful!! And don't worry- we will be rooting for you whether you're able to drop in much or not....let the inspiration for staying healthy be contagious to all your new coworkers and maybe you can hook up with one or two of them for lunch time walks- just 30 minutes a day is GREAT!! Here's to a great new start and a breezy first day on the job!

Congratulations and best of luck to you!!! That is wonderful news. I know it will be tough to balance a healthier lifestyle with a full time job, but with careful planning it can be done.
