Will AKL guarantee Bunk Bed rooms?

We are going to AKL for 10 nights at the end of Nov!!! We currently have three regular savannah rooms booked. One room will be me DH, DD7, DD3 and DS1 who will be in a crib. Next room will be my Dad and his girlfriend (who will be getting married on this trip!!!!) The third room will be the girlfriends 3 teenage kids. Heres where my question comes in. From what I understand the three teens (2 boys one girl) will not sleep in the same beds together. We thought maybe if we could get a bunkbed room it might work, but would a 12 & 16 yearold fit on them length wise and we were also told they cannot be guaranteed. What are our chances of getting one? Let me know your opinions!

Teenages will fit on the bunkbeds. My two did, and they were very comfy! IMHO the odds are better if you have two kids of the opposite sex. Just my opinion, but we've stayed at AKL 2X and asked for bunkbeds and got them both times. I don't know if they read our requests, or saw, at check-in, that we had a boy and a girl, but we got bunkbeds on both our visits. Also, on our last visit there this past April, another family was checking in right beside us. The CM saw that they had a boy and a girl and asked the parents if they would like bunkbeds, The parents were very excited and said that they didn't even know they had bunkbeds there (obviiously they aren't DIS members!!), so I can safely assume that they didn't even request them. I think your odds are good that you will get them.

You're right they can't guarantee a bunkbed room. I had to remind them when we stayed in August & then it was no problem. I think it is if they have one available you'll get it.

Our bunkbed room was an adjoining room with a door between 2 rooms. This sounds like something you would need. Ask & e-mail before you go. Our room # was 3435. We had a good view/relatively quiet room.

Good luck & have a great time. It's a great resort! If the teens are into hidden Mickeys have them ask for a list of them at checkin. AKL is supposed to have the most hidden Mickeys of any of the resorts.

The only thing I have ever requested, when it came to a room was a bunkbed. When we were there in July we were able to get one. My 6 foot+ teenage daughter slept on the top bunk and thought it was great.
