I want to fly out on a Sunday morning on a non-stop flight. With the current promo they are running most my flights are $79-$89, but the cheapest rate for a Sunday AM non-stop flight is $169/pp. Is this the best I can expect??

Thanks!

I don't know if I would chance it. Those non stops fill up faster. I was waiting on booking a flt with a stop in Atl from Buf on 4/10 and I read on the website that is a blackout date so I took the $139 oneway. I purchased 2 tickets and the price jumped to $180. So glad I did it. Good Luck!

AM flights always tend to fill up faster and Sunday is a more popular travel day. So you may want to choose a different day to fly or pay what they cost now. With the current sale it is not likely you will see cheaper, though it can happen. AirTran deeply discounted a lot of their fares for this sale.

There doesn't seem to be any reasoning behind AirTran's pattern of pricing to me. Our trip down in a couple weeks has had SO many different prices and has gone down/up/down/up over and over again. I bought it originally for $109. It dropped a couple times and was as low as $47 and now is back up to $129.

My husband's flights to Baltimore in August started the first day at $69 then jumped to $119 and higher only to come back down to $67 with the sale. I'm sure they will go back up in a few days, too.

I'd wait until there is a sale and the prices decrease if it were me. I highly doubt the cost will stay at $169.

This is probably not a "PC" thing to do, but what if I book a flight with a layover in the morning and then they change the flight in some way -- could I switch to the direct flight? The layover flight isn't too bad and if we had to fly it we could so I'm not too concerned about that. Just wondering how Airtran would work with this.
Thanks!!

That's exactly what I have done for our trip in October! I can live with the trip we have with a stop in Atlanta but I"m hoping for some kind of change so that I can switch to the afternoon direct flight. Airtran is very easy to make these changes with when they have changed your flight by even just a few minutes.

That is good to know! Thank you for all your help!!

I think prices will drop ! Look at thier stock

Just hope they can hang in there. They did last July when thier stock dropped to $1.28. Today its at $2.54 :scared1:
Dropped .45 in one day
Guess you can tell I own some

We originally had booked non-stop flights on Air Tran, and then the schedules changed and we had layovers in ATL. I called and was able to change back to different non-stops without a problem. However, currently Air Tran seems to be also changing their flights a ton. Family members that are flying out to meet us had non-stops and now have to have a layover as all of the non-stops that day have been eliminated. And just make sure you keep checking if you do make reservations as they can change frequently and you will not get any notification even though it says they will e-mail you.

Airtran just released new fare specials so it's always a possibility. Keep checking!! :)

Do you guys think it is too early to be trying to get flights for beginning of September? My flights would be thru Delta or Airtran.....Do I hope out for better deals? My problem is that my dates arent flexible and neither are my times bc it is the day after our wedding....im NOT waking up at 4 the morning after the wedding for a 6 am flight nor do I want to get there too late and have all the good rooms taken.....
