Know it says the Disney golf carts fit 4 adults. Is it possible to fit 4 adults and 1 9 year old girl? Thinking about renting a cart for an evening in December to see the decorated campsites. We would just be tooling around FW for a couple of hours. So if we are a little squihed it is probably ok, but will we fit? And is it allowed? Or can we do it and hope noone sees us?

Thanks!

It may work, it will be very tight. It it allowed, not sure. A few hours renting the cart is still going to cost $65, you will get charged for 24 hours.

I am ok with being charged for a whole day. 4 adults will split the cost so less than $20 each. Just concerned if we will actually fit, a little discomfort is ok, and if it is allowed.

But do we really need the golf cart to tour the campground or would we be ok just walking? We are all capable of walking a 1, 2 or even 3 miles around as we will really be strolling around lookig at the decoations.

And how dark is it when it gets dark? Do we need a flashlight or are there street lights or enough light from the campsites to be able to find our way around, not get lost and get back to our starting point, especially if we have a good map?

Thanks again to all of you for your gelp.

Technically it's not allowed - but it comes down to how overloaded your cart appears, if you're driving it safely, and if Disney is paying attention to their own rules that day. :rolleyes1

The Fort is a mile from front to back (map HERE) and the roads/site loops make it a LOT longer to walk around.

You'd have to do quite a bit of walking to see much of it. But if you try, and find yourself pooped out, you can always hop an internal bus back to where you started. :thumbsup2

There are lights along the 2 main streets, but it's pretty dark at night - especially if you're walking. I'd recommend flashlights if you're going to do any nighttime exploring.

Flashlights are a must.

You could always rent it a little later in the evening the first night, and see half the campgrounds. Then the second night start out early, and return the cart before your 24hrs is up. Unless they have certain times for check in and out.

What about the off site companies, do any of those have 5 seaters??

Depending on everyone's size, you should have no trouble fitting 4 adults and 1 kid onto a GC. We sometimes have a big group on our trips to FW and have fit far more than that on the cart before. Just remember to be very careful especially when you have extra people on. I think our record is 8 or 9 people , although some in our group were pretty small. It certainly wasn't comfortable, but it got us all where we were going.

Have fun looping around the Fort. It's my favorite pastime!

I've seen 5 or 6 here all week. If 2 adults have umm, smaller hips, then there is room. It's too much to walk in one evening, not enough time to hit all the loops, if you want to conquer them all. It could be done if broken up over several nights.
