Will a 2 year old have enough to do at Universal/Islands of Adventure?

We want another option to Disney- it does not have to be an all day event for us, but just wanted to know if a 2 year old would have fun here? He is currently 36 inches TIA

I would say, yes. We are my taking my DS2 for the first time in December. He LOVE Barney and Barney is at Universal. He was also very excited when we showed him Dr. Seuss land (whatever they call it). I don't think it would be enough to keep his attention for a week like Disney but I think he will be fine for a couple of days. We are going to do Sea World as well.

Have fun!

We had trouble keeping our two year old busy at Disney. Short attention span. I would say no there isn't much there unless you plan to sing the barney song all day or hang out on Seuss island.

Just wondering how many days we need for the parks. I know that MK and Epcot take longer. Will a day each for DHS and AK be enough? We have 9 day tickets but probably won't use at least one of the days.

Thanks

You're asking on the wrong board. ;)

That's funny, because Magic Kingdom and Epcot were a hit with our 2 year old. There were even adult rides he was able to go on. Disney was a sure hit for our son and we took him at 19 months as well as last week.

Funny...my 2 year old loved Epcot and MK too.

OP - I would say 1 day would be great for Universal. Have you thought about Sea World? There are a lot of hands on things/shows that may keep his attention.

I brought my son to both parks for the first time at 3 and he loved it--spent so much time in the kid zone play area and couldn't get enough of the curious george area with all the water spraying everywhere. plus loved all of seuss landing and ET was his favorite:)

we took our 2 year old.....he seemed to enjoy just being outdoors...

we did alot of child swap.....oh and US/IOA HAVE THE BEST CHILD SWAP AREAS IN THE WORLD lol most if not ALL in AC rooms

He was able to do all the shows..as he was not afraid of loud noises or the dark.

and he loved seuss landing......couldnt get him off cat in the hat ... lol

We had a 2-year old at US/IOA in March. His favorites were the merry go round at Seuss Landing, the Cat In The Hat, the play area over between ET and Curious George at US and meeting Dora the Explorer. Keep in mind that no matter what park you visit, surveys taken year after year consistently show that the favorite part of an Orlando vacation for children 5 and under was the hotel swimming pool.

Attractions we saw with our 2 year old:

E.T. - her favorite!
Jaws
Terminator - she got scared
Jimmy Nuetron - in the non motion chairs
Beetlejuice
Shrek
Woody Woodpecker Coaster
Curious George - water fun house, they get soaked

FOTH
Cat in the Hat
Suess Trolly
1 fish 2 fish
carosel
Storm Force

I might be missing something....

He loved alot of it, but he got into the terrible two's a couple of weeks before we went, and it ended a couple weeks after we got back. It was weird. but he loved all the rides and shows. i think we just had bad timing.

WE took DD when she was 2. She loved the Seuss carousel, the water play, the escalator at Citywalk.

We have some adorable pictures of her hugging Thing 1 and hugging Barney.

Some days I took her to two Barney shows. If you wait toward the inner circle of the preshow area and then sit toward the exit doors you can be first in line to meet Barney as you leave the show.
