Will 1 day be good enough in September?

My parents, DBF and I will be heading to WDW in September and were planning on spending 1 day at US/IOA. :goodvibes We're thrill seekers so we probably won't be spending much time at shows, if any. We will also probably be skipping water rides because I'm really not a fan of spending my day in wet or even damp clothes. Although maybe going in September will change my mind on that. :rotfl:
WWoHP isn't a big deal to us, we might check it out and ride FJ so really not planning on spending a lot of time there.
Do you think we'll be able to cover most of the 2 parks headliners in 1 day in September? Are there certain days of the week that are slower than others that we should maybe plan on going? What are the do not miss attractions for thrill seekers? The last time I was there was 11 years ago so I hardly remember much of it at all. :rolleyes1

If you are only concerned about the headline attractions and HP isn't a big deal, you should be able to do what you want in a single day...although it's not recommended. I would stick to weekdays as weekends are busier with more locals.
