Hello All,
can you please share your opinions on the best 2 bedroom unit at Wilderness Lodge Villas? We are about to plan our next trip for June 2009 and have never requested a specific room. Are any high enough to see the Magic Kingdom? Best view of the pool and lake? Also, where did I once see that room layout on pdf ? Thank you so much for your opinions, advice and help!!

Hi-

We just got back two weeks ago from a nine-night stay at VWL. We were in a dedicated two-bedroom on the 5th floor. #5541. We faced the lake, but the trees are so thick that you really couldn't see too much of the water. We could on occasion see some of the MK fireworks. It was a very peaceful room. I never heard any noise. When you sat out on the balacony you were pretty much face to face with birds and squirrels. The tree tops weren't much higher than we were. My niece and two of her girlfriends stayed in a studio that overlooked the Villas pool. Other than the pool, you couldn't see much from her room either. They were in room #5521.

Good Luck!

Last September we were in villa #4511, a dedicated 2 bedroom and it was PERFECT!

It was right around the corner from the elevator, but there is a mousekeeping room in between so you don't hear a thing.

We overlooked the quiet pool and were high enough to see some of Bay Lake ... we could even watch and hear the Electric Water Parade - one float at a time.

We had 2 full balconies.

Have a great trip!

P.S. Because of the locations of the villas in relation to the Lodge, I don't believe that there are any villas with a MK view.

I am very interested in hearing everyone's response. We are taking friends to the villas in April and have a 2bdrm, so we would love to know what the best locations are.:)

I'm guessing none of the dedicated 2 bedrooms have a "bad" view. I hope not as we'll be in one in December and I didn't make any special requests.

Wilderness Dad-did you notice much noise from the buses being on this side of the building? Thanks!:)

I stayed on that side of the building last spring and didn't notice any noise from buses. Sometimes loud children in the hallway...

I loved room 3528. It's a dedicated 2-br at the atrium portion of VWL and very convenient to the elevator. The below link shows a room layout.

We've stayed in that room (I think - - may have been 4528, but same layout), and thought it was great.

We generally prefer to be close to elevator, since the rooms at the end of the looooong hall can be a drag at times if you like to go to the main lodge frequently.
