Which would you choose and why? We just got back from a great 10 day stay at POR and are headed back next August. We stayed at WL before and loved it.

And if the Beach Club what kind of room should we get?

Thank you!!

We love the Beach Club. It’s a very relaxing resort. Love that we can walk to Epcot (and for a slightly longer jaunt, walk to HS). Walking around the Boardwalk in the evening is fun. And the pool is second to none! We spend several hours there every day. It’s basically a water park itself. We usually book a garden or water view.

I've stayed at both. I prefer Wilderness over Beach. Beach Club is way busier seeming, as the lobby is considerably smaller. The lobby is constantly bustling. The quick service restaurant there is really lacking in options. The restaurant there, Cape May, opens right into the lobby, and that adds to the busyness.

Beach Club has a fabulous pool, but it gets quite busy.

I did like that you can walk to Epcot easily.

Wilderness feels more like an escape. Both are great resorts, it really just comes down to what your priorities are.

We've stayed at both and loved them both. I'd choose based on the location. While our kids are young we'll stay around the Magic Kingdom. As they get older the Beach/Yacht Club will appeal to us for the walk into Epcot and that pool! But while our family is young nothing beats a quick boat ride back to the resort for a break or after a long night so we like the Lodge or Fort Wilderness cabins.

I think it depends on where you plan to spend the majority of your time. BC is great if spending lots of time at EP and HS. WL is great for MK.

The feel of the resorts is different too - if you are looking for quiet, WL. BC is busier because of YC being attached.

We love both - we spend lots of time at EP so BC is a natural choice for us. We also like that there is some nightlife at the neighboring resorts that we can walk to.

We like the quiet rural feel of WL, which to us was similar to POR. It feels like you are in a far more remote location than just around the corner from the busiest theme park in the world. We also like that the whole resort (except the lakefront cabins) is under one roof so you don’t have to go outside in the rain. Bay Lake is beautiful, and we love the boat transportation options.

On the other hand, being able to walk to two parks from BC is great, and Stormalong Bay is a better pool for older kids.

These are my 2 favorite WDW resorts!! Since you’ve stayed at WL, I would say go with Beach Club, it’s so beautiful and the location is amazing, being so close to Epcot! You can’t go wrong with either resort though, they are both wonderful.

Love the Lodge but found that transportation took a lot longer than we liked. The Epcot area works better for us as we enjoy walking into Epcot just for a snack in France, or walking around the BW in the evening, strolling to DHS just to do one ride. It's not so isolated, which is how we felt at Wilderness. One item I do miss about the MK resorts is the nighttime water parade.

We've stayed at both and while the BC was nice, the WL is our favorite of the two as we love everything about it. We had a nice stay at the BC, but we weren't wow'd by SAB or the resort overall. With that said, everyone's opinions are different, so if you like trying different resorts and the BC appeals to you, it might be worth a try.

We love both resorts and you can't go wrong with either one. The nice thing about the Beach Club is how easy it is to walk to Epcot. You have a lot more restaurant options when staying at an Epcot area resort than you do at the WL. Storm Along Bay is a nice pool, too. The rooms at the Beach Club are bigger than the WL rooms and many of the BC rooms have a daybed. Only about 50% of the BC rooms have a full balcony but it is often too hot in August to sit on the balcony.

I agree that both are great choices. My vote is always to try something new, which has me leaning towards Beach Club since you've already stayed at WL. We love Beach Club, and the close proximity to Epcot, DHS, as well as multiple dining option at surrounding resorts can't be beat. The only downside I can see is that Stormalong Bay is easily the most popular resort pool, and many stay at Beach Club just for use of this pool. In August, I would expect the pool to be quite busy if that's a concern.

These were our final two contenders when we were buying DVC points. We'd stayed at WL and VWL several times, but not BC. (We ended up buying at Beach Club.)

I don't think you can go wrong either way. The relative advantages we had down for each:
WL - boat access to MK, gorgeous views everywhere, restaurants that work better for us (Roaring Fork is way better than Beach Club Marketplace, and it's much easier to get into Whispering Canyon than Beaches and Cream; we're not Artist Point sort of people).
BC - walking distance to Epcot, boat or long walk to Studios, amazing pool, less isolated

For me, it would depend on which parks you plan to spend the most time. If it's DHS/EP, stay at BC. If it's MK, stay at WL. If you stay at BC, I would book any room, garden view or above. I'm not a fan of the standard views at the EP resorts.

I stayed at both and I just fell so much more in love with WL. It is so serene and relaxing as an escape from the parks. With BC, we went back to the resort for pool time and the pool was basically a water park (crowded, hectic, too sprawled out to keep track of the kids, just stressful) whereas WL was my happy place. I also thought the rooms were better themed at WL, and the counter service at WL was MUCH better.

agree with everyone- both are great- try the new experience if the budget allows- but don't be upset if you look back and prefer the WL
