Wilderness Lodge VIllas or OKW?

Wondering people's thoughts on pros and cons of these two from those of you who might have styaed at one or both to compare. It will be just DH and I for an anniversary trip, and planning to spend most of our time at Epcot. Our first choice is BWV or BCV, but in case we can't get one of those, should we go with WLV or OKW. we stayed at SSR last year and didn't love the expansive layout and the ambience is too much like home (being from the Northeast)!!

We have stayed at both and like both, but VWL is our favorite. One thing to consider is what size villa you would want...if you choose a studio then I would go with VWL to get the one queen bed and one sofa bed since it is just the two of you. But with a 1BR, you just can't beat the size of OKW.

If I were making the choice it would be VWL since it is our favorite resort...but truthfully, you can't go wrong with any of them!

First of all, I hope you get BCV or BWV, but if not, I'd choose OKW.

I say that primarily for transportation reasons. If you have a car, obviously OKW would be more convenient -- it's only about a five minute drive to Epcot. By bus, OKW buses are usually rated the best of all the resorts.

I haven't stayed at VWL, so I can't say anything about their buses...except that I don't think I've ever heard any complaints about them. Even if they're good, however, VWL is obviously more convenient to MK, but a lot less convenient to Epcot.

OKW is also pretty large, But I don't really feel the "spread-out" feel you get with SSR. VWL obviously has hotel amenities, plus the beauty of WL.

I don't think there is a bad answer.

OKW is a great resort but it's big and sprawling, like SSR, which you said you didn't care for. For an anniversary, I'd go with VWL, which has a hotel atmosphere.

I'd vote for OKW...but only because you indicated that SSR was too much like your home area. Many people in the Northeast have a lot of trees and "wilderness" and feel like VWL is too much like home too. If you really want to feel like you're in Florida, OKW would be your best bet between the two.
