Wilderness Lodge Transportation

My daughter and I are making a weekend trip and will be staying at WL for the first time. We always stay Bay Lake but wanted to give the Lodge a try. What are the transportation options via boat? Does the boat just go to MK or does it connect with Contemporary at all? Also, is the bus service dedicated to WL or does it share with the other MK resorts?

There are actually 2 separate boat "lines". One goes back and forth to MK, and the other goes to FW and CR. That way you can easily connect to the monorail.

When we stayed there, WL shared buses with Fort Wilderness. Going to Epcot, WL was picked up first, then FW. It added quite a bit of travel time. Another trip, we had lunch at WL and wanted to go to DTD and that bus shared with Grand Floridian - that was quite a long trip!

We loved the boat to/from MK - very fast and convenient! After taking the long bus to Epcot, we drove our car to the other parks, except MK.
