Wilderness Lodge to Universal?

We are not renting a car this time, as we have no sense of direction, and almost missed our flight home last time.

However, we want to do Universal this trip (we got lost returning from there to WDW last time too!)

We are planning on taking ME from the airport. So would be the most convenient - although not necessarily the cheapest way to do Wilderness Lodge to Universal?

We thought about a town car, but we would probably need to give them a return time in advance right?

What about a taxi? Would we reserve it in advance or just call on the morning we want to go? What about returning? Thanks.

Taxi sounds like your best option, since you don't know how long you'll be. If there are not already cabs waiting out in front of WL, Bell Services can get one for you quickly. When you leave Universal, just go back to the area where the taxi dropped you off - there will be other taxis there.
You could also call one or two town car companies, to see how flexible they can be. Maybe you can just call them when you want to head back to Disney and they can send someone to pick you up? I know you're not overly concerned about the cost, but a taxi from Old Town to Universal was about $38 one way last year, whereas a town car would be maybe $50 or $60 round trip?
