Wilderness Lodge to Fort Wilderness

We are planning on having dinner at Whispering Canyon at the Wilderness Lodge on our first night at Disney and then I thought I would surprise my daughter with a carriage ride at the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds.
Can anyone tell me first how to get from CBR to Wilderness Lodge and how long it will take and then how to get from Wilderness Lodge to Fort Wilderness and how long it will take. I am trying to figure out what time to make reservations for.

If driving, just drive to the WL from the CBR and get a 3 hour parking pass. Allow 30 minutes driving time.

Or. take a WDW bus to the MK and then the red flag boat from the center dock at the MK to the WL. Allow 1.5 hours total travel time. which includes wait times for WDW transportation.

To get to the FWC from the WL, take a blue flag motor launch from the WL to the FWC - 10 minutes travel time after the boat leaves the dock.

Do the reverse for return.

Follow up question- we will be using Disney transportation and Dec hours were just released. MK is only open till 8pm the night we are going to Wilderness lodge. I am hoping to get our dining reservation at 7pm then go over to Fort Wilderness for our carriage ride and then we would take the blue bus back to Wilderness lodge and then from their the bus back to the MK - my question is will the bus still be running altohugh MK will be closed at this time?

Better yet - from the FWC, take the blue flag launch to the CR, then walk to the MK. WDW buses run from the MK up to 2 hours after the MK closes.

FW is a fun place and you could get distracted by other things going on. If you find that you are running short on time for making it back to MK, then take a bus from WL to a park that is open and change to your resort bus there. For example, if it's an EMH night at DHS, you can take a bus from WL to DHS and then switch to a bus for CBR there. I'm thinking with buses running until aobut 10pm (based on an 8pm close) you should be OK - but have this info in the back of your mind just in case.
