Wilderness Lodge to Contemporary

Is it possible to walk to the Contemporary from the Wilderness Lodge?
If memory serves me correctly, the walk is a fairly long one, even if the resorts are not that far apart as the crow flies.

We are planning on making dinner reservations at the Contemporary, and I wanted to save the hastle of using Disney transportation.

That would be a looonnnng walk. I think your best bet would be to take the boat that goes between WL and Contemp. Shouldn't be too much of a hassle.

The only way to walk would be along the road that goes under the water bridge. I do not think that pedestrians are supposed to be on this road. The transporation should not be a hassle. There is a boat launch that does a loop from WL -> CR -> FW and another that goes in the opposite direction... WL -> FW -> CR (at least there was when last we stayed there). Allowing time to walk to the dock, wait for the boat, transit time, and time to walk from the CR dock to the restaurant it should not take more than 20-30 minutes from hotel to hotel... slow walkers add 10 minutes. This is quicker than wlking from hotel to hotel.

Your 2nd choice would be bus to MK and then either monorail or walk to CR. Probably about the same amount of time as taking the launch directly.

There is a boat that will make it a quick trip. That is the most hassle-free of the transportation options.

We have taken the boat before from the CR to the WL for dinner at WCC and it just added a little fun to the trip. A nice boat ride and dinner. My children really enjoyed it.

It is impossible to walk from the WL to the Contemporary.

Thanks for the help. I did not realize that there was a boat. I assumed the only boat was to the Magic Kingdom. (and busses to the other parks)

know there is a boat to the Cont.

there is also another boat to FW.

the ones that goes to FW is as big as the MK boat.

I think the ones that goes to the Cont is smaller. I don't remember it goes directly to the Cont or if it stops at FW then goes to the Cont.

We did the boat in September to kill some time before leaving on our last day. Leaving from the Contemporary the boat first went to FW and then on to WL. Coming back from WL we went straight back to the Contemporary, it only takes a couple of minutes and the boats run frequently.
