I have narrowed down our stay to be at one of these.
Wilderness Lodge $1700.00 6 nights what i have found so far
Swan & Dolphin not sure the price yet have not checked
Hilton Down Town Disney $159.00 a night so far.

I usually get a coupon from disney for cheaper hotel stays. Does the disney coupon cover the hilton down town disney? What is the cheapest rate that i can get with these hotels? I am not a AAA member or any other member.

Also if i book my vacation through disney can i pay on it in payments?

thanks for any help

Welcome to the DIS mckinley.

The Swan or Dolphin will be the most expensive of your three choices (I think). The best rate I've seen this year is around $175 and that's with a teacher's discount (but I could be wrong). We LOVE staying at the Dolphin - it's in a great location - but it's not Disney owned, so no charging to your room or mickey shampoo, etc.

I have never stayed at the Wilderness Lodge, but have visited and eaten there and would love to stay there at some point. For either the Swan/Dolphin or the Wilderness Lodge I would recommend getting a AAA membership for a discount - it would pay for itself.

As far as the Hilton is concerned, I have stayed there and you can get a much better price for that. Go to Priceline.com if nothing else. I've gotten the Hilton 3 times using Priceline (when I was hoping to get the Swan or Dolphin). The Hilton is my last choice for places to stay when bidding in the resort category at WDW on priceline - meaning you could get a much better place than the Hilton on priceline for under a $100. Go to biddingfortravel.com for more info.

Did I even answer a question? Sorry, but I hope this helps some. :teeth:

Well opted for the wilderness lodge because this is our first family trip to wdw and my kids dd10 and ds6 did not want to share beds and wilderness lodge has bunk beds. We are getting the whole package hotel+tickets+dining plan through AAA for ~3200.00 we will be there jul15-22. :dancer:

i looked at priceline but i was afraid i would be stuck with something that i really didn't want

I don't blame you if you don't want to do Priceline because you don't know what you may be stuck with. But I have to tell you, the Hilton is the only hotel I would be afraid of getting stuck with if I were bidding the resort category in Orlando. The other hotels that come up in that category that you might "get stuck with" include: the Dolphin, the Swan, the Marriott Orlando World, the Gaylord Palms, the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, or the Omni Orlando Resort. I would stay at any of those! The 2 hotels that seem to come up the most are the Hilton and the Gaylord Palms. If this isn't necessarily a budget trip, then I'd invest in AAA and book the Wilderness Lodge or the Dolphin. If you're trying to save a lot of money, then I'd use Priceline or stay off site. Either way, I hope you have a great trip! :flower:
