Wilderness Lodge sharing buses with the Contemporary?

Since when does the Wilderness Lodge share busses with the Contemporary Resort? Did I miss this? Not pleased at all.

When its a slower period of time, it always made stops at WL, Poly, GF (not all at the same time though).

Yep...been doing it for years with WL and the monorail resorts.

I'm curious as to why you're so displeased with this? Honestly the distance between the resorts is very minimal - in fact I didn't realize just how close the resorts were to each other by bus.

We got there in about 30 minutes. I just wasn't excepting that, totally surprised. But we might take Uber back to the park this evening.

30 minutes doesn't sound too bad for transportation time using WDW buses. As mentioned, buses are usually only shared during slower periods of the day.

When we last stayed at WL (August 2011), WL shared a bus with Ft. W. It took forever and really turned me off from staying at WL. However, with the intro of uber at WDW, I just booked for this August and, except for MK, we will take uber back and forth to all of the parks!!

I dislike all the wasted time using the buses. Prefer to rent a car!

Years ago, before we discovered the Epcot resorts, we used to stay exclusively at WL. Regardless which park we were going to, we always shared a bus with another resort, I believe the exception was MK. It always picked up first at WL, but I believe when we were going to Epcot, it also picked up passengers at Fort Wilderness. When going to other parks we always went to GF and/or Polynesian before the park.

We always have our car with us, but once it is parked at the resort DH refuses to drive again until we leave for home.
