I will be staying at WL with my mom, sis & sis's 2 children, ages 3 and 5 mo. We have a villa so plan on breakfast in the room.

How is the food at WL? I've heard good things about Artist Point, and we plan to get babysitter & have adults night there. What about room service food? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Not sure about room serivce...but we had breakfast at Whispering Canyon...and It was great...(compared to Ohana breakfast which was awlful) and it was reasonably priced too.

We had lunch one day at roaring forks...and I was very pleasantly surprised about the quality of the food. My hubby even sugguested that we try to have lunch there again, but we were never at the hotel for lunch time again. We were very happy with the quality of food at the Wilderness Lodge.

We just got back from WL a few weeks ago. You're going to love it!!!! There is a room service menu and it's typical of most hotels in both selection and price. You also can get pizza delivery, I remember seeing a sign and think a large pie was about $14. We didn't eat at Whispering Canyon because the menu didn't appeal to us but it looked like a lot of fun. The food at Roaring Forks was pretty good (above average fast food). While we were there DH got a burger and fries which he said was good and I got an individual pizza which was pretty good (very Pizza Hut like). Since you'll be in a Villa with a frig/microwave you should check out the food selection in the Merchantile. They had frozen meals, cold cuts, yogurt, milk, juice, beer, soda etc. In many cases the prices were cheaper than at Roaring Forks. They also had bread, cereal, breakfast danish and snacks.

Also, it's easy to take the boat to MK and get on the monorail to the CR, Poly or GF for a quick meal and a change of scenery. They each have a eat in/carryout restaurant like Roaring Forks. Also the kids would probably like the Fort Wilderness petting zoo and the buffet place over there is supposed to be good.

I used room service a couple of times last week at Wilderness Lodge and, though expensive I was satisfied. I didn't get anything fancy, though. Got breakfast one morning--the fruit plate was excellent, and burgers once which were fine. And oh yes a grilled cheese kids plate once. The food arrived quickly.
