Im hoping to get some opinions on here and see what you guys say! :)

We are 2 adults heading back to the world in mid May for a week (Wednesday to Wednesday) and have been going back and forth on where to stay this time around! Below are my 2 options!

My first option would be to stay at the Wilderness Lodge in a standard view room (no split stay). The one thing thats holding me back a bit is the whole construction thing, but then again I am not sure how much it would effect my stay!

Second option would be to stay 2 nights at Pop and then move over with a 5 night stay at the Polynesian in a standard view room. I don't mind doing a split stay at all.

The cost of staying at the Wilderness Lodge would be less, but not by much! I love the relax feel and look of the Polynesian but then again I feel the same about the Wilderness Lodge.

Let me know what you guys think & your past experiences staying at either resort. Thank you in advance :)

PS: A third option could be staying at the Contemporary Resort - love the look of the rooms, but not sold on the actual resort itself!

We love the Wilderness Lodge and are going back there in just three days. But we are also disappointed to find out that the lobby elevators are closed along with the entire south wing and the only open elevators are in the north wing near Roaring Forks. That makes a stay at the WL less appealing.

I would take the two days at Pop and then enjoy the Poly.

I would do the Poly split - we did a night at Pop before our Poly/BC split and it was great.

Glad to hear you had a great stay doing a split stay!! :) might not be a bad idea to start 2 nights off another near by deluxe resort either? Hmm

Under normal circumstances, I'd vote for the Wilderness Lodge. It is a fabulous, uniquely themed resort. However, I do believe the construction would make the stay less enjoyable. I'd opt for the split stay. In fact, we are doing the exact same thing this summer due to a special event for my daughter. We'll be staying three nights at POP, followed by five nights at the Poly. We are super excited. Good luck with your plans!!!

Thank you! Sounds like I am looking at the split stay option! Have fun on your trip too this summer :)

Definitely the Poly/Pop option! The WL is great, but I'd stay away until the construction is over. We stayed at WL during their last refurb and the construction took away from the ambiance of the resort.

Nope, it has not yet been announced. Even once they reopen, it's possible other things close. Construction is permitted through the end of 2017.

Thank you for the reply.
We are booked in for Christmas 2016 and it's so expensive I'm scared I'm making a mistake. We have never stayed deluxe before and are coming from the UK so may not be able to visit again. Everything I read said wilderness lodge would be the best choice to stay for Christmas but I'm worrying
:confused3
