Noticed a new room category today at the Wikderness Lodge called Nature View. Any guesses on where this room category is located within the resort? Am hoping this could include a view of Magic Kingdom.

Some should have great MK and fireworks views, although some may look out at the new cabins. I'd still request MK facing, fourth floor or higher. The end rooms, by where the deluxe rooms are won't have MK or fireworks view, and I wouldn't be surprised if they have put some of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd floor rooms in Nature View as well.

It's the old Woods View rooms that face the MK and have a great view of the fireworks.

So, it sounds like this used to be what our family called the "Otter Pond" view from those first floor roll-in shower rooms that are just past the elevators outside Roaring Fork?

I'd be even more specific because some of those rooms will face MK but even on the 4th floor, not have a view of the MK (I know, we've had one of them).
I'm going to go so far as to say almost anything on that side of the resort will end up being Nature view. I bet there are few, if any, Standard View rooms left now.

We have a standard view room booked for July. Booked it before the new category came out. Wonder if they have too many standard view rooms booked and some will actually be woods view?

The way I see it since that category wasn’t available when we booked standard view then some of the standard views that were booked will probably be the woods view, possibly.

Yay good to know! I was a little confused about the "nature" view. I have it booked for a few nights in June with a BB offer from earlier this month.

You'd think they either pulled the rooms they intended to switch from inventory early enough that they weren't booked as Standard or yeah, there will be more rooms booked as Standard than there are available so some of them will be put in Nature view rooms. Hard to say. I know WL has been pretty hard to book for the past few weeks. So it's possible they did indeed remove a bunch of Standard rooms from booking so there didn't overbook the new Standard room category, if that makes sense.

I sure hope that is the case, because we booked standard view with the hope of getting bunk beds and a view of MK when there was no "nature view" category, and there appears to be no option now to modify our reservation to "nature view" for our dates (no rooms available).

Let’s go with that! Fingers crossed.

Would be interesting to know how many standard rooms they booked before they added new nature category. I booked months ago. I agree, for awhile they’re going to have more standard rooms booked then they have standard rooms. Hopefully I’ll get a good view! I haven’t been to WL since the DVC expansion.

I know this post is old but I wanted to see if anyone has stayed in one of these rooms? The Nature View has a view of either the woodlands or the Villas so doesn't that mean they face away from the MK?

We had a Nature view room on our recent trip - Feb 27th to Mar 3rd. We had booked a standard view and were given a free upgrade to a nature view. We had room 2024 which overlooked Otter Pond. It was in the section that used to be called Woods View. The room faced the Contemporary and we had a view of the pond, some cabins, and the fireworks from Magic Kingdom.

All of the nature view rooms will face toward the Magic Kingdom. The other rooms would be classified as courtyard if they didn't face toward MK. There are only two ways for rooms to face, unless, of course, you have a deluxe room.

Thanks. So why does the website say it could face the villas? Isn't that the opposite direction?
