We flew home Friday night after 7 blissful days at the Wilderness Lodge. We had booked a Woods View but when we checked in we were upgraded to a Courtyard View. I thought I was going to cry with excitement.

Our stay at the lodge was wonderful. It was nice coming "home" after a crazy day in the park. This is where we will stay from now on. No other resort gives us the same feeling as the lodge did.

Nice. Was that your first time at a deluxe as your sig says? WL is soo nice.

Cool. Now I'll have one more family to race against when trying to book future rooms at our favorite resort.

Glad you enjoyed it!

We know how you feel, we'll be arriving there Monday and we can't wait.

We love everything about the resort from the lobby and the music they play, to the restaurants, to Territory Lounge, to the feeling that you're away from the hustle and bustle of the parks. It just seems like a relaxing escape.

We really enjoy staying at the Wilderness Lodge and plan to stay there again in a few years after we've tried some other resorts. It feels like a weekend retreat rather than a WDW resort. :)

So glad you, too, have experienced the wonders of the Wilderness Lodge.

I'm the one who had 10 days booked at Yacht Club and asked to be switched to WL after 3. When we got there, we just breathed a sigh of relief, knowing our vacation had really just begun in the resort we love best!!!

Thanks for sharing!

This was our first time in a deluxe. No going back now. DH wants to do concierge next time. I think I have created a monster:rotfl2:

You are so right. There is no going back...... If I had three days left on earth I would want them to be at the LODGE....

We stayed at WL for two nights this summer. When checking in they did not have a room with 2 queen beds, only King and Queen with bunks. That was not practical for our family as my ds5 and dd2 don't sleep in bunks, and my dm made the trip with us. Well, we were upgraded to Concierge!!!!I loved that resort so much, was mad at myself for booking CR for the rest of our stay 5 nights!!We did not like it there.
WL next time for us.:goodvibes

Glad to hear you liked WL. I will be there Sat. with my son for his 4th birthday for 5 days.

So glad to hear you had a great WL experience! We will be there for the first time this november!! Can't wait to see some pics!:)

We stayed at WL last Sept. in a woods view room. Even with remodeling going on it is by far our favorite resort we have stayed/toured. My DD (4) would say the contemporary since it does have a super duper train running thru the middle of it! :rotfl2:

No other resort gives us the same feeling as the lodge did.

We also love the WL and love the warm fuzzy homey feel that we get when we walk into the WL and just start soaking in the atmosphere.

We stayed at the WL last September. We loved it there. The smell, the sound....oh how I wish I was there again!!:cloud9:

Do you have any pictures of your room & the view? I am booked for a courtyard view at the Wilderness Lodge next year and am looking for pictures.

Sorry for the long wait. Here are some pictures. We were on the 4th floor. Enjoy your trip. We loved it there!!!!

Thanks for sharing your pictures. Before the Wilderness Lodge opened, the Grand Floridian was my favorite Disney resort, but the first day I walked into the WL I knew if was my NEW favorite. Glad you had a wonderful visit. I hope it wasn't too warm while you were there. I have often wondered whether early September would be too hot to visit Florida.
