I am currently booked for a Courtyard view at the Wilderness Lodge next September. Was hoping for a Woods view, but there is none available at this time, but my AAA TA said she would keep checking.

For those of you who have booked Courtyard views, which room number had the best views? If you had an end of the hallway CY view on the left hand side of the resort (closer to the MK than the VWL), could you also see the Magic Kingdom & Wishes? Anyone have photos from their CY view rooms and if so, can you post them? Is it better for an upper floor CY view or a lower floor?

for the best view. These two photos were taken from the balcony of room 6039, an inner courtyard room that was over Artist's Point restaurant. You could go around a corner and catch an elevator down that exits right by Roaring Forks and the doors to the outside and boat dock.

This is the geyser that goes off hourly from 7AM to 10 PM:

A lot of people are saying they can't get rooms at WL. Good thing I booked mine the first day 08 packages were available with my AAA TA. We decided on a wood's view room w/ bunks for my daughter (will be 9) and son (will be 3).

When I tried to book our December 07 vacation in December 06, there was extremely limited availability. Keep trying, rooms of all view opened up later and then more again. I want to say it was early spring, but I really don't remember for sure.

I hope you can get your woods view request. It is a less expensive view, and there are some amazing views with the "woods view" classification. We went in 2005 and stayed in room 5001. It was a woods view that was better than any courtyard view I've ever seen. It was on the top floor, just behind the boat dock. We could see fireworks through the trees by looking left and the geyser going off hourly by looking right. Doesn't get any better than that!

Good luck getting your request!

We love Courtyard view and have stayed on all 3 sides, upper floors and ground floor.

First I have NEVER had a problem with noise. Woods view over the restaurant adn alley can be noisy.

The view of Water Parade is great if you are above the trees.

Never been able to see fireworks from WL although some folks have ... It's not my reason for staying there.

Upper floors may be a walk to the elevator but we generally take the stairs.

Remember, the ground floor is actually below the lobby floor so some elevators do not access it ... but we have found it convenient to reach food, pool, and dock to be on ground floor.

We had a courtyard view when we went in June 05 and we loved it! We were on the 5th floor ( I can't remember the room #) overlooking the stream leading into the pool. It looks like we were on the opposite side than the pictures in the previous post. Either way, I think all inner courtyard views are great, it was so relaxing to watch the ducks swimming in the morning in the little stream.

Have a great time!
