Wilderness lodge construction

Hi All,

Does anyone know when the WL construction should be done? We were thinking of staying there early next year via DVC points but don't want the experience ruined if the whole place will be ripped up.

What would you advise?

The construction is likely to continue through all of 2017. Right now, the primary focus is on the Lodge wing conversion and new building (restaurant?). Limited work has been done on the cabins, and the VWL pool area is being used for staging and that pool is expected to be among the last work done.

The permits don't expire until 2018, and the Poly construction seems to serve as a guide. But it's all guesswork.

Thanks for the info. Is there a construction schedule or do you have any idea what exactly will still be under construction cone Jan of 2017?

If it's minor by then, may not be too bad. But if it's still major I will probably want to avoid it.

No one knows, but based on current status and past precedent, it won't be done, and who knows how long until the clear-cutting of trees recovers.
