Trying to decide which would be the better choice. Our boys will be 7 and 4 when we go and we'll stay either 3 or 4 nights. Not sure how much time we'll actually spend in our room, so don't know if the space with the cabin is a necessity. However, I love the idea of biking and exploring the lodge resort...yet the boys would LOVE the pirate ship beds and the more exciting pool at CBR.

Thoughts???:confused3

pirate: We stayed in the CBR pirate rooms last year and my girls LOVED it and they were 13 and 14, lol. I have pictures of them "driving" the pirate beds. It was great. I gave them the choice of where they wanted to stay and they picked those rooms out of everywhere else at Disney. The main pool at CBR is awesome too! If your kids love pirate anything, they will love the pirate rooms! Let us know what you decide. pirate:

That is so cool that your daughters were so excited!!!:)
I'm so on the fence. We'll see.

You may be confusing the two "Wilderness" resorts. There is the Wilderness Lodge, which has regular resort rooms and is all contained within one big building. It has a nice pool and several restaurants right there together. There is also Fort Wilderness, which is a campground spread out over several miles worth of property. It is a beautiful resort that has both campsites as well as cabins. Each cabin has enough room to sleep 6 people, but is (in my opinion) perfect for a family of 4-5. The cabins have a den with Murphy bed, full kitchen with full size appliances, bathroom, separate bedroom with double bed and bunkbeds, and a deck with picnic table. If your kids like exploring, FW is the place to do it. There are 2 pools (one with a fun slide), 2 game rooms, lots of playgrounds, a beach, tether ball, horse or pony rides, boats to rent, etc. (You can probably tell that I'm a big FW fan.) If you want more information about FW, check out the camping board here on the Dis. There are lots of people who can give you all sorts of info about it.

Wherever you stay, have a great trip!
