They are safe, right?

I just changed from a regular room to bunk beds for our trip next week. I think the kids will sleep better in separate beds and it will mean DH and I get to share a bed instead of one with each child.

The kids are 6 1/2 and just turned 5. That's old enough for the top bunk safely, right?

They are safe. We used them last month and it was well worth the extra expense! :thumbsup2. Like you, our girls always slept one with each parent on vacation, but the bunk beds made them use their own beds and it was wonderful! :goodvibes

The rails on the top bunk are pretty high. Our 8 year old slept up there, and our 5 year old shared the top bunk with her a couple of nights too, but really loved her cozy bottom bunk too. :yay:

Enjoy your trip!!! pixiedust:

As the pp said, the bunkbeds are safe. We had them on our first stay at the WL and our DSs loved them. When we had them they were by request only and weren't a bookable category, but if our boys were younger, I would definitely spend the extra money to get them :goodvibes.

Love 'em, and I am the kid of mom that will never have a trampoline at my house ; ) I actually slept on the bottom bunk once, and it was very comfortable (AKL)!

We loved them on our trip this past April! We put our 7 year old on the top bunk and the 5 year old on the bottom. Of course, they both kept climbing to the top bunk before it was bedtime ;) The only thing I'm worried about for our upcoming trip is that we are staying at POR in a the Royal Guest Room, so we likely will each get a child to sleep with. But it saves us almost $700 and the theming is really neat, I think my girls will love it.

Here's a pic of my tiny 5 year old on the top bunk for perspective.
