Does anyone know if the kids can dig and play in the sand at the Wilderness Lodge like they can do at the Poly? My kids are big into the digging :rotfl2: Thanks.

Was just there Saturday, don't know the rules but did not see any holes on the beach, sandcastles, or anyone digging. The geyser goes off on the hour for about 4 minutes and try to find the hidden Mickey on or within the geyser rocks.

When we were there last year we saw kids playing by the water, so I think it's fine. I did notice that the beach is definitely more cut off from the pool than at the Poly.

If it is a problem, hop a quick 5 min boat ride to Fort Wilderness campground where digging on the beach is welcome (and pony rides & a playground near the beach are fun too)
Love the Fort!

We just got back from a great stay at the Poly, and the kids wanted to dig and play in the sand every night. It was the highlight of the trip, and we loved that you could play on the beach and watch the movie at the same time. Sounds like the WL is set up a little different.
