Hi I am just wondering what these are like if they will work for us or not and if anyone knows if they ever get discounted. Me, Dh, Mom, DD4, DS7 are going to WDW for a week 10-16-10-23, I keep checking to see if codes are out, we are Fl resident, does anyone know what the rates were like last year?? I wanted to be able to have a little more room that just a hotel room, thought there would be ok. I have a ress for Holiday Inn Family Suites, but I really want to stay on property. I also want to know if WDW offers any discounts to seasonal passholders. Thanks guys

Hi. They usually give great discounts to Florida residents and AP holders! I would expect you could get good rates. Just watch the boards and mousesavers to apply them when they come out (make your reservation first)

We stayed at the cabins a few years ago. 2 adults and 2 DS' (one was a friend, our DS won't go on vacation with us anymore:confused: )

The bedroom is roomy with a set of bunks and a double bed. There is a murphy bed in the living area and a full kitchen. The bathroom is standard size.

I think there may be additional adult charges per night.

We loved the cabins. Rented a golf cart and really enjoyed it. It wasn't nearly as expensive back then.

You'll have a great trip.

The cabins at FW would probably work great for you! They sleep 6 people and you get a separate living room and full kitchen as well as a nice deck to sit out on at night. I've seen them for as low as $144.00 per night in the past. As the previous poster mentioned keep checking www.mousesavers.com for the discount codes. Codes for Oct. will probably be released mid to late summer. I'm a FL resident too and there have been some good codes so far. Best of luck!;)

The FW cabins are awesome! I don't know about codes but we went in June 02 and I think it was somewhere around $180/night with a code. We stayed there with me, dh, my mom and my ds's 3 and 7 at the time. We just loved them and are probably going to stay in one again in Dec. 05.

The cabins are awesome. They are private with a nice bathroom, full kitchen and lots of room for the kids. You can't go wrong there. The only thing that isn't great are the pools. They are basic pools, no theming, however the campfire program makes up for it. I think $144 is probably a good estimate.

I read a lot about the cabins and the resort in my Birnbaum's and it sounds absolutely wonderful with all the things to do. Now my only problem is trying to fit all of it in a week. Thanks guys.

The new 7/5 package might work for everyone - you would pay for 5 nights and get 2 more nights free. It comes with UPH passes for everyone in your group.

FL res. rates might come out before than, but it not you would have the package. Living in state would give you a better chance of taking advantage of going to the parks on the day you arrive and the day you check out.

Good luck.

BTW - We love the cabins!!! With all this talk I think too many people are catching on to what a great deal cabins are( I thought is was going to remain our little secret;) )
