After getting passed from Disney rep to Disney rep to Disney rep to Disney rep...you get the point, they still never answered my question.

We are bringing our 2 sons and each son is bringing a friend. Since the cabins sleep 6 and as each kid is a teenager...13, 13, 14, 15, we decided that getting a cabin in which we could bring and store food and cook to save $$$. The boys asked if they could bring a tent and sleep outside if they wanted to at a cabin site. That was my only question. Never got answered.

Can anyone help?

I don't know either as Ihave never set foot in Ft. Wilderness, but have you checked the Ft. Wilderness thread to see if it says anything? Or how about calling the resort itself, surely the manager would know. Good luck findign your answer!

I think you got this answer in the other thread, but just in case, no you cannot pitch a tent on the cabin sites at Fort Wilderness sorry.

I don't think you could find any level ground to pitch the tent on by the cabins even if you were allowed to... unless you pitched it on the deck or the parking space.

One thing you might want to consider... if youre planning on taking 4 teenages with you... they claim to sleep 6 in a cabin, but it wouldn't be recommended.

You will have one murphy bed in the living room.. that would be where you and your spouse would want to sleep its the most comfortable bed there.... the other beds for the other guests would be the bunk beds and the full size bed in the bedroom... I hope two of your teenage guests get along well together because the two that aren't in the bunk beds will be mighty close during the night....

No, they won't allow that. However, if the boys were planning on sleeping on the ground, why not have them take sleeping bags and sleep on the floor inside the cabin? As mentioned, two of them would have to sleep together on the Murphy bed and with that age, I really don't think any of them want to do that. You could just leave the Murphy bed up, and the boys could sleep out in the living room while the adults sleep in the bedroom with the door closed. The living room is well big enough for that. And there is a couch in there too.

I say rent the boys a spot to pitch their tents and keep the cabin for ourselves :rotfl2:

I love the campgrounds! Just remember it is a real wilderness. We have had raccoons on our porches, seen armadillos and found poison ivy the hard way.
But there is still something so peaceful that brings me back each visit.
