went to canada for a week and went on a boat ride that tries to find wild whales and watch them.
the boats are very respectful and don't go more than 100 feet near the whales.
i am not trying to start any arguments here and have been to seaworld three times but seeing them in the wild is so touching that my opinion of making a killer whale do tricks in a small tank is so very, very cruel.
there were 6 whales that we saw they were playing with each other, had their fins up and a couple of times come right up over the water.
they such beautiful creatures.

magic.

i would reccomend going wild whale watching anytime.

The whales at Sea World are not wild and could not learn to be apparently. I am on the fence when it comes to them doing tricks because I look at them as ambassadors for wildlife in a way and I realize that Sea World has to bring in people to exist. Would they come if the animals didn't do tricks?

Anyway, that aside...seeing wild whales sounds wonderful. We once had some wild dolphins following a ship we were on for a while. That was very, very cool. :)
