Hello everyone! Happy Weekend!

No big plans for us this weekend -- graduation party #2 tomorrow for our niece who graduated from Northwestern University in June. :dance3:

Maybe we'll go bowling, too! :confused3 We bowled last Saturday for the second time in the past 15 months and we were ALL horrible! Perhaps we should've had the beer AFTER we were done! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Denise is right -- gonna be a hot weekend here in IL! DH is out watering the lawn because we didn't get much of the rain that came though earlier today.

Shell - love the DB's!!!

Keep the great pictures coming!

Well, have a great evening!

Cheri :yay:

Denise,
That is a good picture.
You look a lot younger than I thought. Not that I thought you were old, but you look 30!! I am so JEALOUS!!!

However I have to say the the best looking one so far is Ron (lampy) in his pink tutu... :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hi Happy Friday,
DS is spending the night at grandma's so it gave me some time to do some shopping. I had picked up cruise clothes and had a blonde moment I was buying all sunny outfits and not realizing that I amy need a warm thing or two for our alaska cruise next week. Try finding a sweater in New Orleans in the middle of July :rotfl2: I love the pics we will be one great looking group, hey Shell keep the    coming.

Wendy

Good Saturday Morning to Everyone,
How are you all ?? I love all the pictures :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 !! Now I will know what you all look like when we are all on the cruise!! Keep the pictures coming   !! It's going to be another HOT :sunny: :sunny: day in New York. Well I am going today to Party City to buy Over The Hill stuff for my mom 50th birthday on Thursday and then the Mall :yay: :yay: . Well hope everyone has a great weekend!!
Lynn princess:

P.S. I love all the bananas everyone is putting in their posts!!        !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning everyone,

Wendy, please give us a trip report for your Alaskan cruise. My friend has done 2 of them and absolutely loved it!! :cloud9: She advises staying out on deck as much as possible for the best chance to see whales. We have talked of doing an Alaskan cruise in a few years. I an anxious to hear all about it!!!

Cheri, you and I would be good bowling partners. I havnt gone in about 4 years now. But I did see a bowling alley not too far from me that I may check out sometime. Even my 4 year old GS could beat me, without the bumpers up even!! :confused3 I use to bowl with youngest DS but he is grown and working so no time to bowl. He always whooped me!! He bowled leagues since he was 7 and has boxes of trophy's and awards. Mostly first place!!
If I get close to 100 :rolleyes1 I feel I have had a great game.

Well it will be 95 + humidity here today :sunny:

Kathy
Have a great day everyone!!! :goodvibes

G'mornin everyone... its supposed to be low to mid 90's and humid here in ohio today (I guess its just gonna keep going up and up according to the local weather folks). :sad:Wahhhh....I don't wanna play hot and sticky, at least not without a nice breeze and a big blue ocean next to me.

I'm workin on our door signs, btw...:artist: as soon as I get the first one done, I'll post it and have you nice folks do the critique--be nice, I'm just a mutt, y'know.

Ok, off for my walk before it gets too blamed hot....have a great weekend everyone

The obsession is spreading! Here is our refrigerator. I drew the DB in the middle a few days ago to greet Bill when he got home from work one day. My niece saw it and said, "Aunt Shell, why did you draw a banana on your fridge?" I said, "Just for fun", so she and her brother (ages 7 and 9) added their versions on the left and right. :rotfl2:

Stay cool this weekend, everyone! Looks like a hot one for all of us! :sunny:

   Happy saturday everyone.....well I heard from my sister (who will be cruising with us) that some of our documents came in...so DH and I are driving over there after dinner to see.... :cheer2: boy, that makes this really seem close now...

Have to go, and finish getting dinner ready....

Denise

Good morning fellow     fanatics!

Another hot :sunny: day on tap today.

Kathy, we did go bowling yesterday -- I ALMOST cracked 100!! (98) :cheer2: (At least I beat the kids!!! LOL) Don't think the PBA will be calling anytime soon. :rotfl2: Guess I'll stick with running - one foot in front of the other is MUCH easier!!!! :thumbsup2

Better go get groceries this morning before it gets too hot. :moped: I also just realized that we leave for a week-long trip to Traverse City, MI next Sunday! I suppose I should think about packing! I think the     have been distracting me!

Have a great day! Stay cool!

Cheri :yay:  :yay:

Good Sunday Morning To You All,
Well went cruise clothes shopping and did not find one thing :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: !!! Well I have to look on-line today. Today we are relaxing because it's going to be at least 95 degrees :sunny: :sunny: way too hot to take the baby anywhere. I am going to assemble the chocolate wrapper I had made for DS baptism. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc !! Well hope everybody has a great weekend and talk to you tomorrow.

:sunny: :sunny: Good Sunday morning fellow cruisers:

I have a transport question. I have heard some really good things about
FL Tours...(which I have been doing my "homework" and internet checking) I called them Friday evening to book with them for our party of 13. I just did not really like him. When I told him what time I wanted to be at port, and what time we would like to be picked up. He would not listen to me. He kept saying that we could not get into the gate before 11am. He wanted to pick us up at 11 or after. I did talk him into picking us up at 10, but still was not happy. Then what the prices were on the internet, he quoted me 60.00 more. I mentioned that I checked on the net and he said that they charge per person in the van??? So I called Happy Limo, they seemed more accomadating and flexable to work with. Plus they were about 70.00 cheaper.
And they had a van that would fit all of us into plus our luggage.
Now my question...I have heard some not real good reviews about Happy Limo, has anyone had a bad experience? I actually spoke with my neighbor and they used them (happy) about a year ago, and had a very positve expierence plus were surprised when then got picked up to go back to MCO they used their streched hummer and did not charge them extra for that.
Just curious.......

Howdy everyone,
we just got back from MK. It was so hot!!!! :sunny: We did get to see how they changed the pirates ride. It was very good. Capt. Sparrow looked so real it was spooky!!! :scared1:
Then we met our oldest son and had lunch and went to see the new Pirate movie. :woohoo: It was quite good. The special effects were AWESOME!! No details from me. I dont want to spoil it for those who havnt seen it yet.
We got home just in time to see the Wonder pull out on the 2 palms web cam, so it was a very good day.
Kathy

Kathy,
You are sooo lucky we were hoping to get a sneak peak while we were there in June but no luck. I cannot wait to see it.

We used FL Tours a couple of years ago, and Probably would not use them again. I found the guy that answered the phone to be somewhat uncooperative. He gave me the same spiel about the arrival time at the port, but I told him that I really wanted to get picked up when I wanted to get picked up. He agreed (but the driver was almost a half hour late picking us up, so he "won" in the long run)
I have not used happy limo, but did use tiffany town car in 2003 with no complaints.

Howdy everyone,
hope your Monday is going well.
When we were at MK yesterday I bought myself the new Mickey ears with the gold earring and red pirate bandana on them. It was so cute I couldnt resist it. I will wear them to the pirate party.

Not much else happening here today.

Bill,
I thought about you yesterday, when we found out Minnie likes bananas!!
Your obsession must be contagous, she loves them too. :rotfl2:

We have used FL Tours a number of times with no problem. I have heard from others that the gentleman on the phone can be rather abrupt (we've always booked online). I have not heard bad things about Happy Limo either (and I think Barb (of Barb and Tony fame) recommends Happy Limo. If you have a Passporter, I think they use Tiffany and have a coupon in the back of the Passporter. I think you should just go with whoever you are more comfortable with.

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Mine was FANTASTIC! We had great weather - really hot and humid. I went up to visit a friend's place in the country for a 'girls weekend'. We played bacci, poker (where I won $190 :cool1: ) and went swimming in an old quarry. It was so great to just relax and have a little 'me' time!

My home computer has been offline since Friday so I havn't been able to check in. Sounds like everyone is good (and hot!). DH took the CPU in to work today so hopefully he can get it to a computer place to take a look at it. Unfortuntely for me I got a Ding! letting me know SWA was open until Dec and then the stupid computer broke - so when I went in this morning all of the 'cheap' flights were unavailable. But, I am not panicing (yet) as we still have some time and hopefully they will open up as we get closer. I have been spoiled with SWA fares in the past so have a certain expectation. Paying over $79 one way is hard for me now LOL.

As far as the cruise I have done nothing  . We got our package in the mail and I knew more than was in there from the boards - which I suppose is a good thing. Dh thinks I'm crazy, but I'd rather be prepared!

I think I mentioned this earlier, but will ask it again - Has anyone thought abotu their excursions yet? What about dining rotation?

We are planning on doing Lotterie Farm in St Maarten and Coral World/Coki Beach in St Thomas. I am planning on going it on our own for both. That's about it for us for excursions. We will likely just walk around if we have time in both Ports. As far as CC I think we will just play it by ear. I am trying to plan out our rotation vs. Palo bookings etc. If we all link together for late seating does anyone have a guess for our rotation? I would like to try and plan Palo not to miss anything in the dining rooms. The only other 'ressie' type thing I am looking at is a Spa Villa on one of our sea days. We have a shipboard credit from booking on board last time so I can 'kinda' swallow the cost of the Spa Villa. People have had great reviews of it so I am hoping we really love it.

Hope everyone is doing well and as excited as me!!!!!!!!

PS - I don' have the babana on my 'main' smilie page??? Have we been banned?????

If Ron is able to work his "Magic" through his connections, our rotation will be PLA. This will put is in Luiere's for Formal Night (Sunday) and in Parrot's Cay for Pirate Night (Tuesday). I think that Thursday is Semi-Formal (Lobster) night. Hope that helps!

As far as excursions go, DW and I have only talked about one and that is one of the Sail & Snorkel excursions on St. Thomas. Ron has a recommendation for that (Golden Eagle I believe) and that is the one we will be booking. On St. Maarten, not sure what we are going to do just yet. I really want to do a beach, but I also want to make it to the French side briefly to look around.

Hope everyone is having a great Monday!
