HI Jeff,

We've used FL Tours a number of times and been happy with their service. We had them pick us up fairly early becuase we had an early flight. Can't compare to the buses as we have never used them. You can book the FL Tours car on their website.

I am not relying on my docs getting here on time - I will just download the stuff from the website. Last time we cruised our TA had to actually purolate our pkg to WDW as it did not arrive in time for us to get it at home.

So if you recall DH arrived home from Vegas on Friday. So on Saturday I am doing laundy - taking the washing out to put in the dryer - and guess what I should see??? His Passport - he had left it in his pants and it was sopping. I was a little :furious: becuase I swear I have asked him to check his pockets a million times. Anyway, he sheepishly ironed it and I think it will be OK. Man....that's all we need is to not have the ID necessary for the trip!!!!!!

Anyway - got a meeting, gotta go...talk to you later.

We have used Tiffany Towncars. We really liked them. They loaded everthing for us and were always prompt and friendly.

Jeff...I've heard REALLY good things about Happy Limo. That's who we have booked to get from airport, to resort, to terminal, back to resort and back to airport. The woman that helped me over the phone was great.
If you go to www.mousesavers.com you can find a link for them. There is a discounted rate for mousesavers.

We are using FL Tours from SSR to the port. For the seven of us it is pretty reasonable. I have never used them before so I will let you know.

They are also picking us up on the 2nd and taking us back to SSR.

Our flight is not until Sunday.

What's this about documents? I thought that's what we got months ago in that little packge that looked like a suitcase or something? I also filled a bunch of stuff out on line - do I need to bring prints of that too?? my list gets longer and longer.

Bruce rebuilt the steps this weekend. Even he admits the new ones are much sturdier than the old ones - It's like a boulevard compaired to a two lane road.

Don't have to worry about DutchsDaddy teasing me, do I? Anyone who would leave his passport in his pocket has NO room to tease ;-)

I can't remember what the last moment you were allowed to be in your room on debarkation day...how long the buffet at Topsiders goes on that day...and when you HAVE to be off the ship. Who has this info for me?

And here's yet another question ... do you think a flu shot is necessary prior to the trip? I normally don't get one, but thought maybe with all the viruses that can go around a ship, it would be a bad idea. Denise? Wendy? Any insight?

Good Evening    ,
Well DS went to the Doctor's for his 6 month check-up and boy he was not happy to get 4 shots plus the Flu shot. He started crying   before he got the shots :sad2: :sad2: !! He is 15 lbs and he can start eating Cheerios and Fruit Puffs!! Wow no more baby :sad2: :sad2: :sad2: !! I made beef stew for dinner while DS was sleeping. I was not feeling great today. I had a terrible headache :headache: :headache: :headache: that I woke-up with and still has not gone away!! Well DS is crying and just wants to be held so let me go hold him!!

Cheri: You are right you get to meet Drew first :thumbsup2 !!

I got my Hep A short before we left last year. So did the DS. I don't ever get the flu shot (and with that admission I will come down with it the week of the cruise) so Knock on Wood now.

Jeff I don't know what time they make you get off the ship, we milled around and took a couple pictures after breakfast and then with tears in our eyes made our way down stairs to get off the boat.

Good Night     ,
Well I am going heat up my beef stew and then going to finish my calenders then DS a bath and bottle and I am going to try to stay up for Prisonbreak. Well Good Night All :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: !!!

TiggerKing - thanks for answering my questions :thumbsup2

Lynn - Wow! Cheerios already. Laura is 8 mos. and she hasn't had them yet. Maybe Wednesday...I have her then ;) Does Drew have his top front teeth yet? Laura has her two fangs! No top front teeth yet, although I believe I felt them just at the gum line. She looks so funny when she smiles. she does have two bottom ones. I can't wait to meet your little guy and I'm so looking forward to you all meeting Cullen and Laura.

Kathy - will Greg come help Steve redo our bathroom? :confused3

No flu shots here. I got one one time and I got the flu a few days later. They say the shot had nothing to do with it but you can't convince me of that.
Have a good evening all - we are suppose to have a 40 percent chance of rain tomorrow. I'm hoping it won't last long. We, Kathy and I, are doing our best to keep the :sunny: for all of you who are visiting before the cruise.

I can't remember who said they are staying at Fort Wilderness Lodge. :thumbsup2 it is the best! We stayed there several times. Loved it. It's nice to sit in the lobby and just relax and watch people come and go. The most fun part of all is watching people's faces when they enter the building for the first time. We've also stayed in the campers at Fort Wilderness.

If I remember correctly from last year-Topsiders is not open on debarkation day...you eat breakfast in the same dinning room you ate dinner in the evening before...I think you need to be off the ship by 09:30am.

Rode on public train system (SEPTA) for the first time in my life today-and I'm 42 years old!-went to Philly-a girl that used to work with us in the hospital went to Jefferson to go to an accelerated nursing program-we met her there and had a quick tour and lunch-it was a great time.

Going tonight to the high school for Junior Family Night-for DS Josh-(joelidol). Need to find out about the college search, financial aid, and scholarship info....poor house here we come :rotfl2: :scared1: .

We are flying down to Fla on Friday the 24th-staying in Cocoa Beach at the Best Western-anyone else staying there???

Have a good night all :wave2:

OKie

Jeff,
in August we had to be out of our room by 8 and off the ship by 9.
We had the choice of the buffet for a continental style breakfast or to go to an assigned breakfast a restaurant at a specific time, which they tell you. It depended on your dining time.
it is a small breakfast so we just do the buffet and zip off the ship.

Kathy

It's us staying at Wilderness Lodge! I'm looking forward to seeing the faces of the first timers, when we lead them through the doors and then step aside so they get the full impact of that lobby. lol oh yeah i'd better have the camera ready!

Flu shot tomorrow for me. I don't dare not to. Had pneumonia shot too. Poor little Drew baby. They don't understand - and it's scarey too.

Door sign done. Bear clothes sorted out. . . decisions made on Marathon trip . . . Does anyone drive a minivan? I'm thinking I need to rent a minivan for next week because my 'old lady' will have an ecv and i'm not confident she can get it on a bus. But the two men could sling it in the rear of a van. How different is it driving a van than a car? What are the pitfalls? (Currently drive a middleaged Chrysler, and usually rent Malibus or whatever the next size up is.)

night, all!

Thanks Kathy - That's what I remembered from August too (re the breakfast choices) but I couldn't remember the times. We actually went to the dining room for breakfast and it was downright depressing. The servers are clearly "done" with you and we didn't have a great team to begin with so that morning there weren't the fake smiles and happiness that we had seen all week. All business. like being at Denny's. So this time, we decided we will DEFINITELY hit the continental buffet at Topsiders and have good memories of our time in the dining room earlier in the week.

Good Evening All Nana Heads!!!

I just finished ironing blouses/tops for the cruise.

Jeff: You might want to look at Barb Ingkotnito's website as she highly recommends Happy Limo. I think she has a coupon on her site for Happy Limo. PM me if you want her web address as I don't want to break any DIS rules. As Barb and her DH Tony have been on 40+ DCL cruises, she does have a lot of valuable info on her site, including current Navigators, spa, secret porthole rooms, menus, etc.

Shell: We plan to be in Orlando by 10 am on Friday, 11/24. We're staying at SSR. We're hoping to leave early for Cocoa Beach on Saturday - grocery stop and hoping to stop at Shirley's shop.

We don't plan on going to the parks at WDW, but thinking of visiting different resorts to see their Christmas decorations. Any suggestions on a "do not miss" resort re: the decorations? Our dinner reservations are at SSR's Turf Club.

Wilderness Lodge info: Can't remember who wanted to know, but this resort is beautiful. We stayed in the DVC section of the resort.

Linda: Thanks for the packing tip. Sounds easy, but it'll probably be a challenge for me!

Door signs: With so many of us bringing door signs, how do you pack them so that they don't get squished in a suitcase? I'm hoping to find some cardboard at work to protect them. Any other suggestions?

Shell: I have not yet gotten the flu shot. I always get one as I have a lung condition (sarcoidosis). However, I get sick-like symptoms shortly after I get the shot, so I may not get one until after the cruise. I don't want to be sick before or during the cruise.

Jeff: What's our bet for the Saturday's game -- another drink :woohoo: ???!!! Are you planning to be in Morgantown on Saturday? If all goes as planned, I'll be in Morgantown Friday and Saturday. My DD, 2 gkds and I are heading to Cleveland on Thursday morning. My DD and DGS will go to the Wiggles concert in downtown Cleveland. Our plan is to head to Morgantown on Friday.

Sunny Liston: For those of you taking Sunny's tour on St. Thomas, did you receive an e-mail from him this weekend? He reminded me that we'll be tendering at St. Thomas and he'll meet us when we get off the tender.

St. Martin: Dave and Bob are going on a fishing trip in the afternoon. We don't have any other plans yet.

Heading to bed soon as I have to be awake by 5am tomorrow. Meeting a friend for breakfast.

Hi all:

Well I had a lot of reading to do to catch up......

OK: Shell: Working around sick people.....and I mean that in a very nice way :teeth: I usually get one every year...normally our whole office does. But my personal feeling on it...if you have a chance I would get one. The shot however takes about 2 weeks to kick in....I got my almost 2 weeks ago...and I had no side effects, did not get sick or anything....so hope this helps.

Got one suitcase packed, I pinned my son down and my signs are done, he will be taking them to the printer on thursday and should have them friday. I think they turned out pretty good.

I am pretty much ready to go...just a couple of small things to buy and thats it.

We are using Happy Limo....I have never used them, but I have already called them twice and changed different locations and pick up times and they have been very nice. I tried fl tours and I just didnt like the man on the other end...he pretty much was telling me he would not pick us up until a certain time and he didnt seem like he wanted to budge on that. He kept saying that you cant get on the ship so we will drop you off around 11am...so I didnt use them.

Well thats about all thats going on now will be back later...

Hi Jan,
Hey lots of great reosrt decorations to see. we go to several every year.

Ok. Grand Floridan has a huge gingerbread house in the lobby and they sell gingerbread items there, plus assorted trees and wreaths. Out in front they have decorations on the lower level you can look down at, really pretty.

The Contemporary always has a display in the level that Chef Mickeys is on, actually near chef mickeys of small decorated gingerbread houses which is fun to see.
The Yacht and beach club has a great gingerbread carousel, that works in the lobby. well worth seeing.
The Boardwalk has a large display in their lobby too.
all the resorts have decorations, those are just our favorites.
If you really want to see a BIG light display and dont mind paying for a days admissions, go to MGM studios after dark!!! The Osborne Family spectacle of lights is there, over 10 million lights!!! That is a display!!!

Off to bed for me,
will see ya in the morning everyone,

kathy

We will be at Fort Wilderness Lodge the Saturday night we disembark....for Mickey's Barbeque....anyone do that dinner show? I think it will be nice. It is our only plan for Saturday besides checking in at the Poly and relaxing....
